Polyweek Prompt suggestion featuring Lila X Sublime X Kagami! Like the idea I had is that Sublime joins the cast early, which causes “Sublimation” to happen early, but this time she just rightfully cuts Marinette off and avoids her over the stalking. Then Lila joins (she’s a normal person no multiple identities, just ambitious and clout chasing) and is also creeped out by the stalking. Then Kagami appears and Marinette’s behavior and two-facednesss during the Friendship event also puts her off. Lila approaches both with plans to form an anti-Marinette squad and is oh so giddy about taking her revenge - only for several months+dates to pass and huh, they’re dating now and the revenge kind of just…got forgotten about. Oh well, she’s got two cute girlfriends now, so who cares!
…Oh, Marinette does - especially when they’re hanging with Adrien all the time (they’re warning him about the stalking but also giving him date spot suggestions for his polycule)

It's always fun exploring what would happen and change if X character joined early.
I love that Sublime cuts Marinette off and avoids her. If she's in Mrs. Bustier's class, she asks to be transferred to another class. And if she isn't (be it she was in a different class already or she was homeschooled and went to Dupont for her extra curricular activities), she does her best to avoid Marinette. And I can see others helping her, pulling Marinette's attention away from her so she can leave if the other girl corners her somewhere.
And then we have Lila. This is the version of Lila I adore. The one who's ambitious. The one who wants clout. She doesn't don several disguises. I can see her still telling lies, but it's very much closer what Adrien thought they were: a way for her to become popular. She doesn't lie as much and she's definitely called out more. And I can definitely see her, eventually, putting an end to the lies because she learns people like hearing about her actual stories. Her real travels. Real experiences, even if they aren't glamorous. But Marinette is still insistent that she's lying, and this is where the stalking begins, and thus what actually starts her "rivalry" with Lila.
Of the three new girls, Marinette definitely does more than just stalking towards Kagami. With Sublime, she pretends to be akumatized just so she can be her "friend" solely because she saw Sublima talk to Adrien (Adrien hasn't started running as a hobby yet, but he does show an interest which is why they were talking). She calls Lila out for her "lies" (which, 1. everyone knew about, and 2. had stopped a good while ago). Kagami? She's tried to humiliate her. She's actively trying to sabotage their chance to win the Friendship event. She sees Kagami as her biggest rival towards getting with Adrien since she has been the only one of three to be considered Adrien's "date" for something. Something that had been set up by their parents because "they were made for each other." Neither of them have actual feelings for the other, but Marinette doesn't believe that.
If you ask them, how did you get together? They wouldn't be able to tell you. It kinda just... happened. They can tell you their friendship began when Lila approached the other two about forming an Anti-Marinette Squad (AMS). That they bonded over Marinette stalking them, accusing them of stealing her Adrien (which was odd, because they knew Adrien was happy in his relationship with Alya and Nino, something he confided in them for the time being).
They don't know when they actually fell for each other. Again, it just...happened. It just felt right. They're still the AMS, they're just girlfriends as well now.
That doesn't stop Marinette from doing anything. If anything, she takes it as a sign that they're ganging up on her. Says they're just as bad as Chloe and Sabrina. Tells anyone and everyone she can to be cautious around them. Tells them she can't believe they'd form a hate group about her when she's done nothing wrong.
Whenever she sees them talking to Adrien, she tries to pull him away. Tell him they were making stuff up. She doesn't even know he was the one who approached them. She doesn't know he was the one asking for dating advice because it was so new to him and he wanted his own polycule to be as strong as theirs. To be as happy as theirs.
She hates that he dodges every attempt she tries at saving him. She hates that those three poisoned his mind, saying she's a "stalker". She hates that they're dragging her best friend into this, because Alya would never date Adrien. She's monogamous. She wouldn't cheat on Nino, and Nino would never cheat on Alya. He's not even gay, why would he date Adrien? And even if he was, he could date someone else. Like, I dunno, Kim. But Adrien was hers and they knew that. They would never betray her.
When she learns they are, in fact, dating, she immediately pushes the blame on the AMS. It's their fault. They put ideas into Adrien's head. They made her best friend and childhood friend betray her. They just want to see her unhappy.
Is that what they want?! Is that what they really want?! What are they going to do next?! Lie to her parents?! Tell them some bullshit about her bullying them?! Accuse her of stalking them?!
When she goes home, her parents are waiting. They had received a call earlier that day. They want to know why she's been bullying three girls and stalking four kids, two of which are her own classmates.
