INKWO for When the Starving Return – Amanda Strong’s Powerful Vision in Stop Motion (stopmotionmagazine.com)
Hi there, since u r my go to guy when it comes to Iron Man comics. I wanted ur thoughts on something. I just got into comics bcs I miss Tony Stark so much.So I read the recent comics cs I wanna feel up to date with the comics & I am confused & unhappy. 616 Tony is very different, also r this his real parents? They r weird. From where does the Maria Stark is a saint trope come from? The fandom likes her as if she was an angel bt She had lil appearances & barely around. Amanda also isn’t motherly
Honestly my dude just read the 3rd vol. It's Iron Man (1998 - 2004). The beginning is confusing but just power through.
But tony has his actual parents, Howard and Maria. They adopted tony from his bio mom Amanda. (bio dad is presumed dead).
Maria being a saint is more from the fact that tony is a mama's boy and she, compared to howard, seemed like a saint. She's just a regular mom who probably tried her best and did love tony but she was far from perfect.
I kinda felt like Amanda was too motherly. She and Tony are just getting to know each other and she didn't actually raise him. So her acting like his mom felt weird to me.
I just realized. Stark means strong in german.
And Tony's mom is named Amanda Armstrong her stage name being Amanda Strong.
Tony and his mom have the same name.
