Are you a burnt out biology major? Are you an actual researcher who still takes the L by being on tumblr? Do you teach biology and want to be hip with the kids? Stay tuned and vote for your favorite aminoacid!

This blog has been inspired by such delightful blogs such as: @besttship, @autismswagsummit, @weirdgirlshowdown, @baldguy-fight, @blorbopoll, @bisexual-monarch-tournament, @dailylepidopterans​ and @may-the-best-penguin-win.

For this tournament, I'll make the choice of using a 20 - member bracket, of course. I am sticking to the regular 20 aminoacids for protein synthesis in eucaryotic organisms. The polls will have a time limit of one week. I want to allow plenty of time to get the posts spread around. The polls of the first round will be posted in a few days.

Fun stuff you can do to add to the competition:

Create fan works related to the tournament (just make sure to tag me so I can reblog it).

I'll use many different tags to categorise the different kinds of posts I'll make. I'll include the names in the description of the blog as well, but here's the basics:

#aminoacid-admin = posts with announcements/news regarding the tournament
