Amish chicken is a comforting and hearty dish with tender chicken breasts cooked to perfection in a creamy sauce. It's a classic recipe that's simple yet delicious, perfect for a cozy family dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 2 teaspoons paprika. 1 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 cup butter. 1/4 cup olive oil. 1/2 cup chicken broth. 1/4 cup heavy cream. 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped.
Instructions: Salt and pepper should be mixed with flour in a shallow dish. Coat the chicken breasts in the flour mixture and then shake off the extra. Warm up the olive oil and butter in a big pan over medium-low heat. It will take about 5 to 6 minutes per side for the chicken breasts to turn golden brown and be fully cooked. Take the chicken out of the pan and set it aside. Add chicken broth to the same pan and scrape up any browned bits. Add the heavy cream and stir it in. Let it cook for about two to three minutes, or until it gets a little thicker. Add the chicken back to the pan and cover it with sauce. Add chopped parsley as a garnish before serving.
