Poor Batman, but was a Good Prank by Danny.

In Gotham, the city was greeted by the sight of Brucie Wayne chasing a tiny cat boy through the city. Wait! They did take one more look... and saw they didn't see wrong. Yeah, Bruce Wayne was running after a young meta child with cat ears and a tail.

Bruce. "And this is why I should adopt you." Boy:" No Way! There is an old cat lady here!" Bruce:" Yeah, there is; just ask. Does Catwoman not live here?" He asked the passersby. 

They just nodded their heads. Yes, Catwoman lives here in Gotham. Bruce:" See, I have all you need, and if you are alone, the old creepy cat lady will steal you."

The catboy looked with mistrust and took his hand. To follow him. And they were gone after a while.

Later at a Motel Danny returned to his 14-year-old look and turned to Tucker:" Give me the money. I wasn't caught." Tucker handed over $100. " Damn! But look at this video! It's damn comedy." Danny:" Thanks! You too Amorpho!" Amorpho: "I'm always happy to help you prank people, young Phantom. Now, if you excuse me, I want to prank a few others."

Danny:" I love this new Power and i even have a teacher for it! Tucker:" And i get comedy by the Pranks you 2 do. "

Ectoberhaunt Day 2: Summon

Summary: A rumor on how to summon ghosts has been going around the school and everyone has been trying it out like crazy. Too bad for the resident ghost boy that he is the fan favorite of his school to try this out on. Magic tends to favor the power of belief, after all.

A-fucking-gain!

This is the third time this week and it's still only fucking Wednesday. For the past several weeks it's been at least once a night, if he's lucky for it not to be day, and it happened again!

Danny has been dealing with unwanted summonings and he didn't even know he could be summoned when he just wanted to even just do his homework uninterrupted and if ghosts didn't then apparently this will happen!

He just wanted an uninterrupted sleep for once, is that too much to ask? Apparently it is but that won't stop him from complaining about it.

There has been some rumors floating around school on this topic but Danny and his friends laughed it off if they ever paid attention to them. Why would they believe rumors like this? Or, at least, that's what Danny thought. His friends seem to be taking it more seriously as time wore on and that should have been his first clue. Or maybe it was everyone else falling for this one much more than the ones before? It certainly circulated longer than other rumors before being dispelled by the A-listers before receding into the whispered rumors of school life.

Actually, the A-listers seem to be the most excited for it and are the main source of his headache. They must have trusted this source well to believe it before even trying it.

He's so tired he might snap at someone if this shit keeps up, especially if it ruins the weekend for him. He already had enough to be worried about as it is!

At least at school he has been safe from random summonings.

For now.

At the very least, for now.

Danny wore a glower and fashionable eye bags with even messier hair than usual to sell the whole look when he met up with his friends that morning which told them all they needed on how his night went. How his past several nights went.

"Dude, you do not look good." Tucker stated impulsively before he got a harsh elbow jab from Sam. "You could use a- Ow- Hey! I'm not wrong!" He defended himself, indignantly to the goth who can read the room where he is better at reading computer code. Of course his best friend had to state the obvious. Danny is too tired from being paranoid all night waiting to be pulled away again to give him more than a look.

"Doesn't mean you should say it!" Sam, blunt as ever but at least she tries to have tact when it's her friends, admonished the technogeek.

"Keen eyes, nerd." Danny told his friend with affection and a strained smile before he dropped it, "Would be nice to know how this started or even works, though."

A thought that weighs on him all day accompanied by dread for future disruptions.

Occasional glares from Wes throughout the day seemed a bit more intense but Danny never got what his deal with him was anyway. Despite the dirty looks, he hasn't said anything about him being Phantom at least. Danny was almost curious enough to ask.

Almost.

His luck is bad enough as it is right now.

Some point later that day on his way home from school, his ghost sense went off. Not suspicious on its own, but when there's no explosions or screaming or attack on him it is. Either a smarter ghost than usual or a blob ghost cluster is near.

Releasing a deep sigh, Danny got to work. No rest for the wicked.

Heh, sounds like something Mr. Lancer would say.

Finding an alley between buildings off the path more traveled, Fenton becomes Phantom in a blink of an eye. Hoping he doesn't regret this, Danny makes himself a target while looking for who, or what, set off his senses. However the only thing nearby was a black cat with red eyes, watching.

Watching and thinking and piercing.

All in a way that was increasingly unnerving with the amusement behind those eyes. Danny may not be a cat person, or spend much time around cats in general, but he is pretty sure that this is unusual.

And then it spoke.

"Having fun, Billy?" At a lack of a response he continued in a playful manner. "As you humans say, you look like you've seen a ghost."

Danny took a second to process before he realized he recognized that voice. That and no one else got his name this wrong, at least not anymore for the most part.

"Amorpho! Did you do this somehow?!" An accusing finger point to the talking cat by a boy who no longer cares who sees.

He tried to hide already, if anyone noticed his volume they'll just think he's in a fight. At least that's how he'll view it later when he has fucks to give.

"Do what, exactly? Can't you see I'm an onlooker that humans accuse of bad luck? Is it because of my current form?" Amorpho cheekily replied, relaxed as ever watching Danny gets heated like this in the back alley they currently are in.

Danny is not going to rise to the bait He is not! But the temptation remains.

"No, you smartass!" His frustration rises in his voice. Maybe it was annoyance or maybe it was a need to blame someone for his suffering. He just went off in a back alley in ghost form yelling at a ghost transformed as a cat. "That weird ghost summoning bullshit everyone is into these days! How is this one even working?!" Danny was practically panting by the end of his question, it ending up more of a plea than anything.

"You know, Billy," Aporpho starts as he changes back to his original form and takes pity on the boy who looks more like a sad wet puppy than a fearsome ghost fighter he tries to portray himself as, "it only works this well because they believe it will and you haven't done much to discourage it."

"Ehh? As if his brain was buffering, Danny took a second to respond as he took that information in. Tears of relief gathered at the corners of his eyes. "So, maybe if I turn invisible or something and make them think it doesn't work it could go away?"

"No idea," Amorpho made an over exaggerated shrug, "but you have done surprising things before that others could not. Not easy but probably not impossible to diminish the belief they have in your summoning. You are a very wanted being after all." He finished with a smile in his voice and a crooked smirk, shifting to another form as he left Danny with a possible answer to salvation from his classmates' summons.

What if I let them think my friends and I think it's cool? They've dropped things before when we do that!

Danny has new things to try now that he has some clue on what to do.

Ghost spells and human belief make more sense the more he thinks about it.

Epilogue:

There's been a new rumor of yet again a 'this one will work for real' method of summoning for the umpteenth time this year. They all tend to be bogus but considered good fun, especially by the a listers who just so happen to have two of Phantom's most devoted fans.

Heh! Devoted? They cant even see the obvious about the guy!

Wes laughed to himself as he looked down on them for such silly rumors while dismissing his obvious proof.

Although...

Maybe if it does work, and it hasn't before, he could keep Fenton in one place to get that proof that they wont be able to ignore.

He tried it at home that night aaaand... nothing.

Aboso-fucking-lutely nothing! He wasn't surprised but it would have made his life so much easier if something went his way for once.

And, to make it worse, when he tried to tell people at school that it wont work? Nothing but mocking from peers and accusations that he was Phantom and just trying to get them to not bother!

Fenton was right there even if it seemed like he barely registered the new 'hot topic' at school, or maybe does and doesn't care, and even he eventually joined in on the 'joke' that day!

What a waste!

I almost never see Amorpho being used as a ghost character in Danny Phantom fanfic but I think he has huge potential. If not for the plot then at least for the gossip friend role. Let’s say Danny can transform too, maybe he learned it from Amorpho, maybe it’s a new power, maybe it’s a curse, who the duck knows.

Just two cats staring deeply into each others eyes before looking at you as you pass the street before nodding to each other and giving a kitty laugh. Are they mocking you? Who knows, they’re cats, that’s their thing.

A Robin and a crow, chattering to each other in the most annoying caw twitter combination. Flying up and both dumping some birdshit on one Dash Baxters new car. What a weird coincidence.

An opossum with a singular smaller oppossum clinging to it. The big one is making weird human like gestures and making growls noises as if explaining to the little one. Later that day your neighbors entire pillow and blanket collection has been stolen and later found back two streets further along filled with gray and white hairs and is that cat puke?

Danny walking into the school and getting bullied by a random person and him just getting a shit eating grin, whispering something in their ear that makes them leave Danny alone for the rest of their school career. Was it blackmail? A weirdly effective threat? Where and how did he learn that.

Two raccoons stealing nasty burger meals from customers.
