Vee, Re, and Jan made it back when they were kids. They made it for when they had a bad day so they would all sing/play it when one had a really bad day but none of them forgot even as they drifted apart. You might even hear the guitar coming from Virgil's room one day where he's been holed up in there all day. You may hear Janus humming it to himself while staring out the window. Maybe Remus plays the others' parts so he can feel like they're all together again for a little while.
One day after they've made up, Logan calls Virgil. He's a wreck. Sobbing softly and trying to ask if he can come over just for some comfort. Something happened.
Vee calls Janus and Remus and tells them to come to his house, explaining that something happened and Logan needs them. All of them.
They get there before Lo because they probably live closer and are in Vee's room when Logan arrives. Loose fit clothes, he never wears anything other than button ups and ties, puffy eyes, the saddest smile paired with a pleading look. He's brought inside and up to Virgil's room.
Logan sits, being held by Remus, just crying, more that night. At least now he has some support. Virgil looks around. All of them are worried. All of them are trying to think of some way to help
Virgil remembers the song. Wordlessly he grabs his guitar and starts playing. Both Jan and Re are stunned at his doing so but eventually get the memo and start singing
Virgil on the guitar, Janus singing, Remus doing backup vocals while also holding Logan. Serenading him with comfort. With promises that he's safe to rest with them. With a soft melody. It's nighttime now. He has no responsibility left. He can fall apart. It's alright to do so here.
