3,300-Year-Old rare Ceramic Mask Unearthed in Bahrain
Archaeologists have uncovered a rare ceramic mask at the Al-Hillah site in southern Bahrain.
The decorated pottery head, believed to be part of a ritual, dates back more than 3,300 years and is only the second artifact of its kind ever found in the country.
It was found in a grave containing the remains of two women and an infant from the Dilmun civilization.
My friend @puppetmasterseth suggested to make some of these for Fanfest Berlin as giveaways.

comparing masks
felt like taking a look at the pharloomian mask in comparison to the hallownest ancient mask and also the wanderer's crest while we're at it
the difference in shape —sharper both in the whole head (which kinda resembles grimmchild) and in the eyes— aside, the engraving is somewhat simpler and also sharper, but also has way more depth to it, almost looking like it got segments.
If you squint at it hard enough the pattern kinda looks superficially similar to the black egg's door, which would be quite ironic given the sealed siblings ending; there's most likely no correlation though.
the "third eye" motif seems to continue on this mask as well.
the wanderer's crest looks like a pharloomian mask (or rather hornet's face with some qualities of the mask engraving) with a few qualities of the engraving of the ancient mask —or maybe more closely the engraving of a pure nail, particularly towards the base of Pure Vessel's nail "pillars"—; I think its neat how it ends in a nail/needle tip.

The mask being unearthed from it’s tomb was the result of the zombie apocalypse.
Ironically, the tomb was also in Mexico.
