You will never convince me that this is not Hux. Just reading how his personal officers view him in the visual dictionary... So good. They follow his every whim, assassinating the people he decides are his enemies, never questioning him. Lest they be next.

It's why he stands a chance against Kylo from a leadership standpoint. Kylo's an emotional wreck, prone to random violence against anyone nearby when he gets angry. Hux is more calculating than that. He rewards loyalty and takes time to think about punishment.
