There's this regular at the bar that doesn't always comes, but when he does he always orders the same thing (two coffee and two croissants) and sits alone in one of the tables we have outside.

The other day, he told my coworker "I need you to tell your boss something".

He could actually go inside the bar and tell him in person, especially because they've known each other for years, but well ok. Then, he says in a serious voice: "Tell him that we opened Pandora's box and I took what was left at the bottom."

Were you and my boss in some sort of crusade and now a curse is coming for you and you're going to be the first one to die??? My boss told us 'he's crazy' and yeah probably but omg you usually hear that kind of quote in The Mommy not from a custommer!!!

It's been two days since he's been at the bar and now I worry that he died or something.

Ok I really didn’t want to do this but at the risk of sounding like I’m defending the man…I’ve seen enough takes now to get worried that part of tumblr isn’t understanding today’s entry.

Now granted, I’ve never read Dracula, I know nothing more than what I’ve heard on here and what I’ve read in the entries so far, but today’s entry read pretty clearly to me as “I was sad so I threw myself into my work, so much so that I might have gotten carried away. I was so focused on trying to get to the heart of the mystery behind this patient of mine, I might have questioned him longer and more intensely than is ethical, and now I feel bad about that.”

Like. It’s still not great but it’s extremely different from the “I’m mad I got rejected so now I’m going to go bully my patient” narrative I’m seeing in the tags.
