I need to get this out because I rewatched Wolf's Rain recently, but how about a Furina!MC au where she's a wolf shifter.
Maybe Andrius, for whatever reason, blesses her, and she gains the ability to shapeshift into Wolf form?
As for how this would happen... maybe an Exile au? Maybe a mild one, but Furina!MC is still kicked out of Fontaine and she decided to get far, far away from the negative memories... and ends up in Mondstadt.
Somehow, in the process, she ends up coming across some Treasure Hoarders and a whimpering Wolf pup in a cage.
Furina!MC heard them talk about selling the pup for some good Mora... she only saw those sad, scared little eyes, and even without a vision or proper weapon, she steps forward-
...She saves the Wolf pup, but she injured. Badly. But even so, she carries the Wolf pup away from the groaning bodies of the defeated Treasure Hoarders... Wolvendom is... this way, right...
She finds herself in Wolvendom... she got the pup back to its pack... she... she felt tired... she wanted to lay down-
As her sight flickers, blackness slowly growing in her vision... she hears the Wolf pack howl... and then another howl is heard... and the earth shakes, it starts to get cold... something brushes against her face...
Furina!MC weakly cracks open her eyes, her fuzzy vision clears enough for her to see... oh, was that... was that Andrius... wow...
The Wolf of the North says something but Furina!MC could not make it out... her ears felt stuffy, her sense dull from pain... from dying.
The Wolf says something again, and a cool but comforting feeling slowly takes over Furina!MC's mind and body... and she finally passes out.
Eventually... she does wake up again, this time not in pain from her fatal wounds. In fact, she felt oddly warm... huh?!
Furina!MC blinks once, twice. Yep, she was still seeing what she was seeing.
The Wolf pack... was laying all around her, snuggled up to her body and keeping her warm from the cool night air.
On her chest even laid the small wolf pup she saved earlier that day, sound asleep and snuggled up to her cheek. Its cold little nose tickles her cheek as it whined and snuggled closer.
Furina!MC would've usually cooed over such a cute image, but there was an elephant in the room, or well, wolf in the room.
Because her fatal wounds were completely gone... and her body felt a little different.
Particularly on her head...
Slowly, she reaches up, and what? Huh? She feels... something fluffy-
Were those wolf ears?! And wait! She turns her body slightly to reveal... a very fluffy looking tail!
What the hell happened to her?!
Basically, for her good deeds, Andrius 'blesses' Furina!MC for saving and bringing a stolen wolf pup back to his territory. Which means... Wolf Shifter Furina!MC!
...Might pair her with Varka, what do you think?
