I got upgraded to testosterone patches! My dr. Pulled some strings and got my insurance to cover it! I have a huge fear of needles and have been doing daily T shots for 1 year and 11 months. I'm so excited to not have to do shots anymore!

HRT Appointment Update
So yesterday, Jan 23, 2020, I had my appointment at the Sexual Health Centre to inquire about what I’d been experiencing with the Androderm Patches; bloodwork from Dec 23, 2019 in-hand as it was my most recent. As I’ve mentioned, my recent experiences with injecting myself had lead to anxiety, and attempting to figure out the patches afterwards had my levels all over the place. As of Dec 23, my T levels were the lowest they’d been since starting this journey 3 years ago-- they were way down in the ‘1′ range. But thankfully, the doctor advised me that where what I’d been experiencing was not localised, and my patch dose is so low (2.5 patch), on top of my coffee in-put(1-2 cups a day), my Flovent, and Ritalin, that what was experiencing was more anxiety/panic based than patch-based. The stabbing pain I had in my chest was also attributed to either a muscle-spasm caused by panic or anxiety as well, as that side-effect is not known to be caused by such a low-dose of Androderm. While this is what my spouse has been indicating to me, it was still good to hear from a WPATH-trained doctor, as my town has none of those; and all questions I had in my town were met with shrugs and direction towards the doctors that are more experienced with transition. The main thing as well to take away from the appointment was the fact that my cholesterol levels were increasing, and my potassium was a little higher than normal; but my kidneys and liver were all good. My blood pressure was also a little high--but again, that could be due to just being anxious in a medical building. So, I have been given the a-ok to do my 2.5/mg patches daily; which I’ll start tomorrow night (1-26-2020) so that I can learn to work through whatever panic I have during Sunday and into Monday as I get acclimated to the slow and steady dose.
✨Luka’s One Month Testosterone Update✨
ACNE EVERYWHERE
Weird BO Smells
Starting to gain muscle density
Body/Facial hair still the same
Slight irritablilty/mood dips
Slight VOICE CRACKS (tho no longer waking up with sore throat feeling)
So I’m currently on the 4mg androderm patch daily which is roughly equivelant to a 60 mg(ml?) injection. I’m thinking of switching over to the gel soon once I run out of patches (since i just cut open the patch and rub the gel on my skin anyway). Changes will be slow because I’m on a low dose and using patch (gel) anyway...I just have to be patient.
I GOOOOOT EEEEEM!!!!
