The Golden Duo- Cassidy Brooks and Evan Afton
We Don't Bleed The Same Color
You bleed red, I bleed blue.
You are man, I am machine.
Eh, why does it matter...?
After all...
We are alive, and we're all the same when we bleed.
Michael and Evan pre-Bite of '83, always arguing and pranking and spiting each other: "Sibling love doesn't exist, period!"
***
Gregory/Evan and Glamrock Freddy (Glammike) looking back on such times:
"Wow we were Estupido™ back then lmfao anyways"
(continuation of previous post below)
And the fact that Gregory during his creation feels absolutely euphoric at being alive- being able to taste, touch, hear, see, smell- to be able to feel and move and laugh and cry and hunger and tire like a human, to be alive and live life... and then over time after the incident Gregory slowly thinks of himself. more and more. as a monster?? and he has a mental breakdown as he screams to Freddy "I hurt you! I lied to you! I... I'm a gross, robotic, blue-blooded monster, I hurt someone I care about and love, I screamed at you, I said mean things to you, I made you cry, and I'm sorry! I'm nothing but a disgusting monster!"
and Freddy just twitches as he cocks a whole ass Fazerblaster for a gun and goes "brother dear who said that to you" as he plans to harness his potential of being a 3000 pound animatronic bear
MORE BONUS HEADCANONS STARTING WITH THIS ONE!!!!1111!1!!1!!1!!!!: Gregory makes vocal tics instinctually when startled- he’s embarrassed by this quality, but everyone thinks it’s adorable, naturally.
Gregory only screams and cries hysterically when his life is being threatened and he feels trapped with no way out- it brings back horrible memories of his death (of the bite of ‘83) and he often resorts to a hostile personality, unraveling slowly as he begs for his life and spews childish threats at the one confronting/cornering him. There is also the risk of his safety mode turning off and him potentially damaging any property and hurting any human if his stress levels are too high, which consequently puts his system in danger of a critical reboot.
Gregory has the subconscious habit of wiggling his fingers and toes back and forth. Although he doesn’t fidget or actively adjust his position often like humans do when they’re sitting in a singular place/position for a long period of time, he does bite the back of his fingers, sway his legs back and forth absentmindedly if he’s sitting on a chair that’s too tall for his height. He also presses his knuckles with each respective hand, blows gently on his palms, curls each finger in and out one by one and just doing motor exercises to keep himself engaged.
One of Gregory’s favorite animals are secretly the butterfly- whenever he’s asked this question, he always answers ‘bear’ jokingly as a reference to Glamrock Freddy (and to purposefully mess with Roxanne) but secretly, he is synonymous with the butterfly- he feels a deep, intimately spiritual connection with butterflies: they represent death and rebirth, reincarnation, something he went through courtesy of a haphazard Samsara. They are a symbol of tragedy and transience, loss and grief, but also evolution and growth, acceptance and hope, love and change- something he went through, something he is and something he desires.
Gregory once felt slightly uncomfortable by being called by the name of Evan- he only lets Michael and Elizabeth slip the name on occasion, but now, he accepts it as another name- another part of his identity: the name of his past life, if you will.
Also, YET ANOTHER BONUS HEADCANON THAT I FEEL IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY: Gregory basically suffered empty nest syndrome for the years he was alone all by himself living in the Sticky Note Room. He would often curl in on himself and have trouble sleeping due to being plagued by frequent nightmares and memories of the past that often left a gaping hole in his heart, as he would describe. He once joked about this to Chica on accident, despite intending on keeping it a secret since he does let his vigilant facade slip rarely every now and then unintentionally. Guess what? Homegirl ratted my boy out the moment he was out of earshot and he, my friends, was not left alone for one freaking nanosecond for at least three weeks.
Let it be known that both Evan and Gregory LOVE touch as a means to express love and trust.
Evan’s reaction to being picked up as a toddler up until five years old… well, he loved it- his reaction was absolutely adorable.
Michael would struggle to pick him up at the time, since Evan weighed an awful lot (Evan was four, Michael was nine, Elizabeth wasn’t yet born). When William or Eleanor (Mrs. Afton) would pick him up, he would frequently squeal and giggle, often enjoying the sensation of physical touch and affection- he would often nuzzle into the arms picking him up, or hug his father or mother back if he were being held close to their chest.
Most of these interactions would often end in tickle fights or snuggle sessions, oftentimes both: Evan/Gregory is extremely ticklish in almost all of the sensitive spots the human body has.
Later, from six years of age up until his eleventh birthday, at the time of his death- Evan still secretly craved physical affection, of which he meagerly recieved from any of his family, save for his mom and Elizabeth- his family was becoming busier with work and life, which meant he had more recreational activities to do on his own, resulting in a rather severe case of empty nest syndrome coupled with being immensely touch-starved.
He often cycled through a plethora of emotions when Michael or any of his friends would physically touch him or pick him up- Michael was quite stronger than back then, since he sometimes got into fights and worked out more often: Elijah was the strongest out of all the bullies, being able to effortlessly lift Evan off the ground with one hand.
They would often suspend Evan upside down, holding him by the legs, or by the fabric of his shirt by the chest. When any of the tormentors got punched or kicked in the face, or even something as humorous and humiliating as poked in the eye, they would hold him by the scruff of the neck- sharply lifting him by the fabric of his collar and pinching one of his most sensitive spots- the back of his neck, rendering him essentially powerless.
When held in any of these spots by them, he would basically have a mental breakdown and cycle through the first four stages of grief at a pace of two whole revolutions per second- he screams hysterically, cries, angrily shouts and spews empty threats, flails and kicks and punches and bites- basically anything he can to break their chokehold.
Touch has warped itself into a twisted, sickening mirror-image of itself. Touch meant he was powerless- exposed, wide open.
Touch meant that anyone could hurt him, and he could do nothing to defend himself- nothing to stop it.
Gregory carries such memories of physical interaction and intimacy as the reincarnated vessel, and as a result of suffering yet another bout of empty nest syndrome, craves and longs for such interaction- yet since he’s survival mode trapped within the Pizzaplex, he tries to hide the fact.
Freddy/Michael notices the strange child is particularly hard to gain the trust of, unlike any other kid he’s met. He starts with gentle gestures, such as headpats, or shoulder and back rubs- at first, such interactions are tense, forced and awkward- Gregory forces himself to reciprocate such sentiments, as trust had not been built up yet between the two. The kid awkwardly pats and squeezes Freddy’s hand.
The animatronic bear quickly takes notice of how, the more they interact, the less Gregory gasps and stiffens, and the more he makes hums and nigh-purrs of pleasure: the more he relaxes and leans into the touch of the giant metal paw- almost as if he were craving more, as if it felt like a massage of sorts.
Their interactions gradually progress- with Glammike wrapping Gregory in frequenting hugs, carrying him in his arms, giving him piggyback rides on top of the ones in his chest cavity, etc: and he notices that the kid… genuinely enjoys partaking in such activities, judging by the way a small smile is written across his face.
Just like how Evan was.
Eventually he picks up Gregory by the scruff of the kid’s neck- his collar.
… but Gregory doesn’t react aggressively at all.
Instead, the brunette boy turns around, gives a soft smile of acknowledgement, and even nuzzles into the large paw as an expression of trust- of unconditional doting, endearment and attachment, of physical and emotional affection and vulnerability.
Even in his voice, there is a fond tone that resembles familial adoration- a tenderness, of which the presence thereof had not made itself known before. It is no longer terse, sparing in words and apprehensive.
Nothing but pure, unfaltering dedication, love and trust is written across his face as he stares into the depths of Freddy’s glowing LED eyes, not bothering to look away for even a second.
Then it escalates even further to familial touch, like how brothers- like how family- would share such sentiments: cheek, forehead and nose kisses, nuzzling noses together, snuggle sessions and tickle fights like they used to have, touching foreheads: Gregory goes from simply accepting and reciprocating gestures of affection to actively performing them with those he trusts, gradually opening up.
And speaking of verbal affection, don’t even get me started on the way Gregory’s night-dark, gentle compound eyes practically glimmer and light up when he calls Freddy “Papa Bear”.
Glammike’s heart proceeds to break in two and rip itself apart to smithereens because oh my god I love this kid I want to keep him forever and ever.
And after the fact reveals itself to the both of them… well, after reconciliations and confessions have been made, and loose ends have been tied up, it gets even better from there.
Gregory starts calling him “Mikey” “Big Brother” and “Bubba” again, and Glammike just… melts to absolute mush.
Be prepared for a crossover of both tickle and snuggle fights- it’s everyone versus everyone, Pizzaplex-wide.
And Gregory and Freddy are determined to win against each other: brotherly rivalry, just like it’s always been.
After all… they’re family.
No thoughts just this headcanon *cries*
Gregory post-awakening spending his years in solitude drawing/writing his memories out on post-it note cards as his consciousness slowly begins to return to him and as his atman slowly begins to awaken, but that’s only one of the activities he does.
His dreams are plagued by cryptic nightmares of names and words, figures and phrases showing him prophecies of the past and the futures that never were- sights he can’t describe, archaic and incomprehensible and vast with oversaturated and blinding colours and lights and flickering shades of darkness that always left him awake and screaming, sobbing in an ocean of endless tears and shaking like a quivering, wet kitten in the rain until dawn- whenever dawn was, not that he kept track of time or the days that passed by, save for the clock he could pull up occasionally on his GUI.
One day, he discovers a peculiar machine he hooks himself up to via opening his panels and exposing his circuitry, connecting himself to the machine via a wire and a plug. He finds himself staring at his own programming, and curiously makes small, barely noticeable adjustment after adjustment until memory of the nightmares are gone from his mind, and he breathes a bit easier- feels a bit better. Eventually, his hands stop shaking, and his mind is at rest.
He does not know why this new activity calms him so. Nevertheless, he finds himself continuing.
As Gregory remains living, hiding in solitude, he makes small changes and adjustments to his complex and initially impossible-to-understand matrices of code. Eventually, as he learns to speak and gains back his previous eloquency and terse manner of speech, he improves his text-to-speech processing, and with some work, makes his voicebox emit a frequency that sounds human again- like it used to, like he always wants it to forever be.
He makes countless of modifications to his programs- a screensaver program that seamlessly integrates with the manifestation of his consciousness into a metaphysical plane present inside his mind palace- it is flawed at first, plagued by nightmares and flashes of memories and glimpses into who he once was, what his past was once like: reuniting with the other fragment of his atman he was separated from during the brutal cycle of reincarnation fixes such things. Gregory knows that one day, even though he doesn’t know when or how, he will be at peace with himself- he will no longer be empty, broken- he will be whole again, remade, reborn.
Eventually, Gregory learns to interact with and even hack into other machines- either wirelessly or by touch, interfacing with technology and communication systems. He cannot break past the heavier layers of security protecting the Pizzaplex’s S.T.A.F.F. files ever since the security scare he caused by stealing a couple of the data contained within said files, but he learns to work his way up, progressing and growing and becoming more skilled with time and practice.
Then, when he gets trapped inside, he learns to hack and implement new features into his Fazwatch, connecting to the Pizzaplex’s network without establishing or making his presence known to Vanny and, with strenuous, continuous effort, maintaining a wireless connection with the Fazwatch and the security cameras for as long as he remains charged. He can also disable the security cameras later into the night for a short period of time (5 minutes maximum) to prevent Vanny from being able to predict his next location.
Soon enough, he wirelessly disables Vanny’s disruptors and established communications link with the S.T.A.F.F. bots to save Freddy from being disassembled. This, he learns, depletes a significant amount of battery, and they instantly have to rush into a charging station to get him to recover back to optimal condition.
“Yeah. NEVER doing that again.”
All in all, Gregory embracing his robotic side and taking up programming/software and hardware modification as a hobby- the Glamrock Animatronics + Vanessa, Freddy and the Daycare Attendant finding out about this and just encouraging him and supporting the hell out of him in general! </3
the fact that Gregory's sources of trauma comes from being bullied by his brother and his friends, manipulated by his father, going through traumatizing nightmares where he believes his life is being threatened and on the line every second from 12 AM to 6 AM, getting his head, neck and upper body crushed by machinery and going through immense pain, dying an excruciating death at the hospital, being reborn as an android and basically going through robot puberty, getting his trust betrayed by the mechanics that found him, accidentally killing them in brutal, gory and horrific ways and sobbing over their dead corpses, trapping himself in a room where he, after days of being scared, alone, hungry, clueless and cold and surviving on two lemon Sundrop candies and a Thirium dose per day, regains his memory of who he once was and grieving for days on end over his family, his identity, his home, his life, his humanity and his dignity that was tragically and brutally ripped from him, and then getting stuck inside the Pizzaplex where he's forced to survive running away once again from killer terminator animatronics out to kill him and rip him apart for one night with only one person ever to help him survive and get through the night in one piece only for things to go completely awry as you realize the killer bunny security guard hunting you down is your sister and the animatronic bear that's been nothing but kind and loving to you is your asshole older brother, both of whom he still loves immensely and missed very much despite everything...
sir, maybe you want to see a therapist on top of seeing an ophtalmologist for your malfunctioning eyes.
((and whoever hurts him again, Freddy and Vanessa and his newfound animatronic family going to make the perpetrator s u f f e r))
