🌹Andromeda Black🌹 The second of the Black sisters. I had fun drawing Andromeda. She was surprisingly easy. I was going for a rom-com protagonist vibe. The girl next door, the kind and slightly mysterious girl with a complicated backstory :) And may I just say... I love the red outfit so much! I want it. Like all of the Black family members, Andromeda has a high level of class. Her clothes fit well and are of good quality. She dresses feminine, in a way that fits her kind personality. She doesn't crave being the center of attention and gladly lets her sisters take the lead socially. Andromeda is perfectly content doing her own thing. But make no mistake! When she's provoked, the full Black psycho is unleashed. She's fiercely protective of the ones she loves. I can't wait to finish the series with Bellatrix. She's going to be a joy to draw :)

He fell first and hardest and the seduction was sloooooow, giving her time to come to terms with her attraction to a Muggleborn. Ted was an old-school romantic, and Andromeda was thoroughly disarmed, having no frames of reference for a loving relationship.

The rise of Voldemort added urgently and pressure to their growing relationship. It helped Andromeda see just how toxic her family’s views were. Once she understood how kind and good Ted was, it opened up her world to another way of thinking.

They bonded over books and music, with Andromeda blown away when she was introduced to Bob Dylan. She became a lifelong fan of folk music, with a love of Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez and Marianne Faithful

Ted was infinitely patient with Andromeda as she discovered the Muggle world, helping her with the practicality and difficulties she faced.

Despite the challenges they faced, and the pain of the broken bonds with her sisters, Andromeda would never regret her choice.

‘…Fate had other plans. Andromeda was stopped as she bumped into the tall, solid form of Ted Tonks outside the Great Hall entrance. She wasn’t about to be distracted. She gave a deep sigh and tried to move to get past him. It did not work. Something held her back; it appeared she was being rooted to the spot by an unseen force.

‘Ah,’ Ted said gently, pointing his finger to the ceiling, where a vine of mistletoe was creeping towards them.

Andromeda watched, mesmerised, as it made its slow descent towards them. She huffed gently. ‘So some parts of Yule are still worth keeping, are they?’

Ted shrugged, his cheeks reddening. ‘I’m not sure this was Dumbledore, to be honest. I think it might be a Prewitt job…’

‘Oh, Merlin,’ Andromeda breathed out heavily, beginning to panic. She knew what this meant. They wouldn’t be released until they kissed. And she was who she was, and he was, well…

‘Don’t panic, lass,’ Ted said considerately, his brown eyes softening. ‘I’ve no intention of forcing myself on you.’

He took her hand then, his grip gentle yet firm, the warmth of his palm seeping into her skin. Her whole body froze in response. Touch was such a rare event for Andromeda that the feeling was almost completely alien, and she gasped at the intensity of it. Warmth spread through her as he gently stroked the inside of her wrist, leaving a trail of fire in his wake. He slowly raised her hand, meeting her eyes as they looked up to him, startled.

‘This is how those Gentlemen in your House do it, isn’t it?’ he whispered. She noticed the crinkle of his crow's feet and the sparkle in his rich brown eyes, speckled with honey.

Carefully, reverently, and tenderly, he kissed the back of her hand, not breaking eye contact as his soft lips met her skin.

Andromeda could hardly breathe.

The lifting of the bond broke their spell. In a fleeting moment, both of them felt the change in the atmosphere, the pressure around them easing, and they were able to move once again.

Andromeda took her chance. She ran.’

"I will get you," Narcissa said after your daughter while you were all getting ready to spend the afternoon in Narcissa´s favourite part of your property. You made sure your daughter wasn´t and couldn´t be cold and took an extra scarf just in case. Narcissa looked at you and you just shrugged your shoulders, knowing what would you get from her.

"It is not freezing here like on the North pole," she said only and you ignored her little note. Making sure you weren´t cold neither, you carried the scarf for your daughter out of the house, followed by Narcissa.

Your daughter... was a little different. The fact you and Narcissa got her through using dark magic was still on your mind. And you knew what could have happened after using that kind of magic, but your daughter was something you could never unlove. She was original and you loved her the way she was. Just like Narcissa did.

"Dromeda!" You called for her when she was so far away and your daughter turned to you as if she was standing right in front of you and there was no distance between you two. She walked closer to you and you knelt down to reach her level.

"Yeah?"

"You forgot your scarf love," you said and started making sure your daughter was all warm. When you were finished with wrapping the scarf around her neck, her pink cheeks let you know about that she was feeling cold after all. You gently pecked her cheek and then you kissed her onto her forehead. As you looked back into her eyes, you found your daughter zoned out. "Now you can go and continue in playing. I am right here with mom okay?" You asked her and Andromeda didn´t give you any answer. As always.

When she started walking away from you, you backed away. Narcissa hugged you with one hand around your waist and you leant into her, still watching the little piece of you and Narcissa walking in the garden.

"Do you think that she will be okay with it?" Narcissa asked you and you knew what did she mean. You looked up into her beautiful eyes your daughter got from her and frowned a little, letting Narcissa know that you didn´t really understand her question.

Still not answering you, Narcissa slid her hand lower and took your hand into hers. She was wearing gloves what made you think of that if that exact thing was the reason why her hands felt always soft. Literally always.

"Okay with what?" You asked out loud this time, still with the question in your eyes as you both started walking the path your daughter had walked few moments ago.

"With that she is different," Narcissa finished her own tought and you understood. You looked at the little blonde who was playing with the leaves at that exact moment and you sighed.

"I don´t really know. I can´t see into her head, but I know that she sees the other kids are different. Just look at Scorpius," you said but you knew that you wanted to defend your daughter. You didn´t have a need, you knew that Narcissa was in that with you, you just wanted to say it out loud. "She is our miracle. I can´t be thankful enough for that we have her at the moment. And what if she is a little different? If we would have ten kids, and all ten of them would have authism, I would love them the most until my life wouldn´t end. And even after that," you said out loud and felt Narcissa´s hand brushing yours.

"I love you," Narcissa breathed out and a little cloud of smoke left her mouth. "Have I told you already?"

"I don´t think I remember that," you said frowning, even though both of you knew that you both said it all the time.

"I love you."

"I love you," you repeated after Narcissa and looked her into her deep eyes. You could see how similar Andromeda was to her. They both had the same face, same cheeks and nose. When you looked at Narcissa, you saw your daughter. When you looked at Andromeda, you saw Narcissa.

"You didn´t get me," Andromeda approached you and appeared in front of you out of nowhere. You took a step aside and looked at Narcissa with that kind of look "you messed up," and she rolled her eyes.

"I will get you now," Narcissa smirked at Andromeda and she squeled. Not giving her mother a chance of catching her, she immediately turned around and started running away from you two. As you wanted to look at Narcissa and tell her that she would better follow Andromeda, you found her already passing you and running after your daughter.

"You won´t!"

"I will!"

You watched them both laugh. You watched them both run. The woman of your life you were ready to spend the rest of your life with and your daughter you were ready to keep your eye on. They were your two girls, the two most important people in your life and you couldn´t imagine your life without them.

It didn´t matter to you how they were. That Narcissa was a perfectionist. That your daughter had authism. Those were the parts of the people you loved which deserved most of your attention and you were prepared to give your attention to them, as soon as you would return into the Manor.

Your lips curled up into a smile when you saw Narcissa pick Andromeda up. She made a little twirl with her in the air. The giggling you could only see, rang in your ears. You exactly remembered what was their laugh like. Narcissa´s was tender, but a little deeper than it was when she was in her twenties. Andromeda´s was that little girl laugh you liked to hear. And when you heard them both, your heart couldn´t be even happier.

You had a family you wished for. It didn´t have to look perfect for the others who saw your family from the outside. The only thing which mattered was that it was perfect for you. Because only you, Narcissa and Andromeda saw the love which was filling the rooms in the Manor. And you couldn´t be more thankful for your family.
