Hi guys! How are you?
Lately I’ve been re-watching one of my favourite show of all times... Desperate Housewives! I simply loved it, the actors, the stories, the settlement... And after 6 years, I still like to watch it on loop.
I don’t know why, but I always thought it had something in common with The Sims (to be honest, the soundtracks from Sims 3 basegame sounded very similar to the ones from the show) and it has always bothered me that there was no a ready-to-play neighborhood for Sims 2.
However, few days ago, on MTS, I’ve finally found both the hood and some houses and I thought that it was time to try to do something with them! The creators, unfortunately, are not active anymore on the website, but their policy looks quite open, so hopefully what I’m planning to do won’t upset anybody.
Also, since the lots are old (pre-Seasons, in some cases), I’m trying to remove all the CC and replace it with items from the various expansions pack. Of course, they won’t be as good as the originals, but I think it’s a good compromise.
At the moment I’ve the hood ready, but I still need to fix all the lots. It will probably take ages, but hopefully I’ll be able to keep you updated. Finally, if you would like to help me, I’ve created a short survey with few ideas because I’m struggling a bit with somethings... It’s anonymous and it takes less than 5 minutes.

Aw, best friends! I friend-ship the heck out of Dustin and Ripp.
Me too! They get along really well and roll a lot of wants to interact, which is nice. They’re really similar kids in a lot of ways and I feel like they ‘get’ each other, even if they don’t always show it.

I think the rest of the band could use some Mom-ing, too. :) That's so sweet that he suddenly wanted his mother.
I love the idea of Brandi as the Band Mom, showing up to their outdoor gigs with warm hats, scarfs and flasks of soup.

Do they reset/reappear in 'hood view when you exit the lot? Just curious. :)
Weirdly I think they did still show up in hood view, but I could be mis-remembering!

I do like Tank & Angela together though. And Tank's sad face here makes me feel a little bad for him...
I will fully admit to not particularly liking Tank and Angela together and being infuriated with their little affair, but I did feel kinda bad for Tank! Poor guys really liked her.
Angela would foresee potential problems later down the line and want to nip it in the bud. How awkward would it be bumping into your ex every Christmas or whatever? Of course, Lilith and Ripp weren’t bothered by the whole thing but they both practically revel in horrible, awkward situations, haha!

I can’t imagine there would be a lot of putting the beach lot you see opposite, though... beach lots are tricky to place because they have to fit the terrain exactly, and so don’t tend to transfer well between hoods!

By the way, I remember vimpse mentioning beach apartments are possible, and she posted some gameplay from one or more. I've never tried it myself, but it seems there's at least a workaround if it's not as easy as entering the cheat.
I found a post about beach apartment lots by Mootilda HERE and yup, looks like they’re possible! I probably wouldn’t build any beach lots with the purposes of sharing for the reasons outlined above, but if I’m ever doing a makeover for a specific lot or building a custom hood, this could be useful! Thanks <3
