It may be surprising for some that Hekate, a pagan Goddess, is in Chaldean Oracles connected with angels - but that is the fact. Angels actually appeared also in paganism.
The Greek word "angelos" means "messenger" and that was basically the angels' function in the Chaldean Oracles - messengers between humans and Divine. This mediatory role was also one of the functions of Hekate, who is in the Oracles depicted as the Source/Mother of angels and their ruler. One of Hekate's epithets also happens to be Angelos.
