Mitred leaf monkeys inhabit lowland and submontane dipterocarp and evergreen forests. They are also found on the margins of rivers. They prefer discontinuous understory at approximately ninety feet from the ground, but are occasionally found in the continuous main canopy and the highest, emergent layers of the forest.

The tide goes out twice a day, changing the conditions of the reef dramatically. As the water departs, so do the big sharks as it's now too shallow for them to survive in. The small epaulette takes advantage of this brief moment in the reef's life cycle. No longer at risk of being someone else's dinner, it can focus on finding its own.
Lace Monitor 🦎 Dino Bird (2017)
The lace monitor grows to between 1.5m-2m in length, it is a dark steel grey above with pale yellow or cream bands or rows of spots. The underside is cream. The jaws and snout are usually strongly barred with yellow and dark grey. The toes are equipped with long, strong claws, which are used for climbing. The tongue is long and forked like a snake. Monitors are the only lizards that have a forked tongue.
Manta Ray 🧥 Asia (2024) "Beneath the Waves"
Large, flat and oddly shaped, these fish are named for their unique appearance, 'Manta' meaning blanket or cloak in Spanish. Feeding on krill and zooplankton, they are often seen forming long chains and swimming in circles to create a spiral effect, catching food in their wake. Along with dolphins, primates, and elephants, Manta Rays have demonstrated high levels of intelligence and long term memory, able to map their environment using sight and smell.
