I finally got to see a full African lion training last weekend and gave a talk for it this weekend. Here you can see our adolescent female, Kimani, receiving a reward for putting her paws up on the mesh so the keeper can check them over. Our sub-Antarctic penguins are getting ready for winter. The lighting in the display is programmed to follow the light cycle of their native range.
