this is it, my thesis film

not the best or most inspiring cartoon in the world, but it's my non-inspiring cartoon. it’s definitely not cal arts level. but. i gave it about 65%. 

STORY: a young boy tries to prove himself to his mother who constantly compares him to his more accomplished older brother.

animated purely with photoshop (lighting, vfx, and all) with audio done on premiere.

DISCLAIMER: i don't own any of the music or sound effects used here. only the dialogue is mine (and let me warn you, the boy’s VA is shit).

I always feel bad for not posting a lot of art, but I'm finally done with my Group's Animated Thesis Film! It was really fun working with a lot of other talented people to bring this to life. King of Pain is genuinely one of the funniest things I've ever seen (and worked on).

Mariano is a mysterious man with unpredictable, supernatural capabilities. All of his life, he has been followed by an unknown evil that soon affects his love ones. More importantly his beloved wife, Alfonsa. Now, after finding out the culprit of her killers, he must find them, seek justice and return to his alter ego, Red demon, Blood Shadow, Caped killer of the night, Human son of the Enkantos or better known as "MARIANING"... This animation serves as an excerpt from the full story which will be in graphic novel. -Creator- Niko Salazar
