It's one of those pointless things I wonder about...
Four Duggar daughters have had children. Two of them have had second trimester miscarriages, as has Michelle. Granted, the risk goes up with advanced maternal age, but...given that they occur in 1% of pregnancies, that always strikes me as kind of wild. Coincidence or some genetic thing? They've not been pregnant that often either so it's not at the point of it being sheer odds.
Jill - 3 term pregnancies (at least two of which resulted in horrendous deliveries), one first trimester miscarriage (which is the result of 20-25% of pregnancies so not especially noteworthy), one second trimester miscarriage
Joy - 3 term pregnancies, one second trimester miscarriage
Michelle on the other hand only had the two miscarriages out of 19 separate pregnancies so things went unusually well for her. But even then, a second trimester miscarriage is pretty strongly against the odds.
