Oshi is a kind but flashy trader from beyond Hyrule who became stranded here by the Silver Tempest. She was quite famous back home, but in Hyrule, she simply wanders to find people in need of her useful stock of materials to withstand the cold. You can always spot her by the logo printed on the back of her backpack!
There are more than 1,000 species of gecko around the world.

The Anouki are from the Spirit Tracks/Phantom Hourglass games, and I wondered to myself... What might they look like with an updated design for the BotW/TotK games? And voilà, here's my idea!
The Anouki are an arctic/northern latitute race that resemble seals, sea lions, and other pinnipeds! Their culture is mostly unchanged from that of the games; many stay near their home towns their entire lives, but those who venture farther a field are usually traders. Like in the games, the normal naming convention includes ending a two-syllable name with "-oo" ex. Gentoo, Wintoo, Cutoo, Baboo, etc.
I don't see much indigenous rep in games, and especially positive and accurate rep, which I think is both a shame and a terribly wasted opportunity! So I've tried to incorporate traditionally (hopefully not stereotypically!) Northern indigenous design into my redesign. I'm most familiar with the Haida, Inuit, Ainu, and Tlingit-- but there are SO many beautiful tribes & people out there to draw inspiration from.
The Anouki are about as religious or spiritual as any other race, but pay respects to The Great Wind Fish rather than Hylia or the Golden Goddesses. Many of their motifs are whale themed.
There are multiple Anouki settlements--some coinhabit with the Yooks-- but the most well known is near Ice Ring Island. They live pretty much wherever it's cold, providing there's some water nearby!
There are pinnipeds that live in warmer waters-- some sea lions and the Hawaiian Monk Seal come to mind-- so those Anouki based on them would probably live somewhere warmer too!

⭐️ This is a redesign of a race from The Legend of Zelda, so while the redesign is original, the species is not! If you'd like to make your own original character using my design, or use it as inspiration, do it! Let me see your work haha I want to scream excitedly over it 😂
Linkle from Hyrule Warriors dressed as Yeko the Anouki from the Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.
It was obvious to me that an Anouki inspired fit would be a parka with a big fluffy collar, and damn Linkle looks adorable in this fit. She's so full of whimsy and joy, I love her.
So... I made more miis :)
