It’s scary to think that our health is mostly out of our control. Especially when health is put on such a high pedestal in our society.
Health is defined as ‘the state of being free from illness or injury’ and ‘a person's mental or physical condition’
Based on those definitions, I’d argue that not many people have no physical health issues, no injuries AND no mental health issues.
Health is extremely complex and so are the factors that affect our health.
If you do ‘all the right things’ and still get sick, it’s not your fault.
If you do none of the ‘right things’ and get sick, it’s still not your fault.
Am I saying that we should just forget about healthy habits? Of course not. They do reduce our risk of getting sick and they make us feel good! But it doesn’t guarantee that you won’t get sick and it doesn’t make you a better person because you prioritize your health - or aren’t sick.
🔅 Happy Habits starts November 1st!
Are you tired of feeling stuck? Like you can’t stick to the healthy habits you want to implement? Are you tired of strict rules when it comes to your habits?
Happy Habits is a 12 week program that will teach you how to set realistic and flexible healthy habit/self-care goals that you can do fairly consistently (because you know, sometimes life throws us 🍋).
