A girl from my boardingschool came into my room while i was on this blog and she asked why i was so upset and i ended up explaining the whole Wincest shippers being dicks situation to her and she ended up being just as mad as i am and she came over to me again today to ask if there had been any progress in making the Wincest shippers stop being gross. I just thought i'd tell you all that she thinks that what we're doing is great and she thinks its amazing that we try our best to inform people when they're being gross and problematic. <3 ✿✿✿✿Jehan✿✿✿✿

Alright, motherfuckers, listen carefully:

You say you were affected by incest. I believe you.

It is not my place to speak over you.

You may be bothered by seeing Wincest posts.

You may even be bothered knowing it is something people enjoy writing about.

What you are not, is bothered by the very existence of Wincest.

It is not harassing you.

It is not sending you hate.

It is not magically appearing in your life where you can’t escape from it.

No, really, it’s not.

You have the power to avoid seeing it. Block blogs that post it regularly, don’t follow those people, blacklist it if it comes across your dash.

The only thing you can rightfully ask anybody to do is tag their shit.

Literally. That’s it. That is all they owe you, to tag their shit.

Wincest exists. Deal with it.

It’s existence is only harmful to you if you choose to go looking for it, knowing it will upset you.

That seems like a pretty fucking stupid thing to do (if you even think of throwing the word ‘ableism’ at me I swear to god).

People like things you don’t.

People are going to engage in things you don’t understand.

This is not news.

One of the most bizarre human practices I’ve ever seen, one that absolutely, positively freaks me out, is the art of bodily suspension. For pleasure.

It is actually a thing that exists. And it grosses me out. It makes me want to vomit: (warning: graphic image behind the link).

That does not make it a trigger. Please stop misusing the word trigger. If your trigger does not send you into flashbacks from a previous trauma, cause physical convulsions, or cause an actual, literal panic attack, it is not a trigger, it is just a thing that grosses you out. Period.

I don’t judge people who choose to engage in it.

I don’t understand bodily suspension, I don’t understand why people choose to mutilate themselves, but I don’t fucking go looking for them to tell them how gross they are and how much it squicks me out.

Because I am a decent human being and I understand that I don’t have to like or engage in a thing, in order for it to exist.

Wincest, and incest ships, aren’t going anywhere.

You could stop every shipper from posting on Tumblr and they would still ship. They would find another platform. You won’t have done anything but bully people out of a place that they once considered safe.

Oh, and potentially destroy years and years of therapy and trigger other people into relapsing by using the same words their own abusers used.

Are you proud of yourselves? Because I don’t know how I would sleep at night.
