"uses xenogenders" is such a stupid phrase. no one says "uses a male gender" to refer to trans men, or "uses a feminine gender" to refer to transfems, or "uses nonbinary genders" to refer to enben, or whatever else. why are we saying "do you use xenogenders?" like theyre an accessory instead of actual genders. why are we expected to have a more typical gender and then "use xenogenders" alongside it.

I understand there can be people who genuinely feel like they are disrespecting somebody by using it, but anything else?

my (now ex) friend randomly bringing up therians and how "crazy" they are when I show her a pretty xenogender flag I found on pinterest, right after asking me if I support the "weird" neopronouns like daddy/daddys and needle/needles and mew/mews
