Something I texted my girlfriend yesterday.

I think Natalie and Shauna both knew that Lottie was schizophrenic. Maybe they didn't know she was diagnosed, mayne they didn't know the exact mental illness she had, but Shauna saw her taking pills, and I think Natalie just knew that there was something going on.

I think Natalie related a lot to Lottie and her struggle to fit in, and she probably saw a lot of herself in Lottie. A sad and lonely teenage girl who never fits in anywhere.

Lottie saw The Wilderness in Natalie, and that's why she's so fixated on her. She knows that she's It's favorite of the girls, and she knows that It's been protecting her all this time. She's jealous of her connection to The Wilderness, despite not believing in it. And I think it'd interesting that the more and more Natalie believes in It, the closer she gets to Lottie.

I definitely see LottieNat in the adult timeline, but truly, I've never been able to convince myself of it in the teen timeline. I love it in AU's or fix it fics, but in canon, I don't really see it. That's not to say I wanna harp on anyone who does see it and enjoy the ship. I think it's silly that people fight over ships, and tbf some of my fav ships are the fandoms' least favorite, so it would be hypocritical of me to hate on any of ya'lls favs.

Anyways, all of this to say, they're definitely parallells of each other in the show, and I think that they definitely are intertwined in very interesting ways! Sorry for not wording this very well btw, I'm currently writing an AU fanfic for this show, so my head is already very fully today

"i pictured you with other girls in love, then threw up on the street." she doesn't mean to say it, honestly she shouldn't have, they'd been doing a lot of late night walks lately - trying to make sense of their weird sleep schedules. but for some reason, it just feels right in the moment. she changes the subject, suddenly very focused on the path in front of them. "we should probably head back soon."

crossing her arms over her chest, she shrugged somewhat, not even trying to hide her judgement. ❛ i only came here to bring you coffee, not be a therapist, lottie. ❜ she states, taking a sip of her own iced coffee, the straw dragging the last drop up until it was a nosily sound of air into the plastic cup. ❛ a coffee which is probably going warm by now, so you should drink up. ❜

she wasn't sure if it was a genuine compliment or not; something in her believed the words but questioned lottie's sincerity. she was questioning quite a lot about lottie at this point — as if she had any goddamn room to judge — so it was hard to do much more than force a tiny smile and shake her head, her defensive nature unleashing a quiet, "right back at you, charlotte."

HANDS WERE SHAKING WHEN SHE GLANCED DOWN AT THEM, palms facing upwards, rising to a medial position as the presence of blood became more prominent with every shift of light. No — she thinks — head shaking, trying to remember; there should be no more blood. They'd been wiped clean just moments before and yet, she could still see the subtle remnants that stained her skin as if it were permeating in small increments through the crevices of sweat glands that she could not control. Eyes closed, shutting tightly, almost forcefully for several minutes before they open again only to be met with the same sight as before. Only this time, the blood dripped from her fingertips, and it causes her to shudder. ❝ No… ❞ she whispers with a single huff of heavy breath that exhales through trembling lips. It was happening again, so soon, but why?

They had given it what it wanted; she'd felt it. Her head tilts back, looking up at the flickering light up above and she can already feel strands of raven hair as they stuck to the side of her face causing her to itch, but she doesn't dare move much more than that. ❝ What more do you want? — what more do I have to give? ❞ Had she not given enough of herself already, and Natalie… the very essence of a being that had been such a strong connection to her own sense of self to which she still suffered and mourned? It should have been her; Lottie wanted to be the one that it chose, so desperately. She begged it to take her, over and over again.

Make it stop… it has to stop… it all has to stop!

Maybe that was part of the problem: Lottie was too willing. It was then that she felt a sudden presence lingering, fear prominent upon expression as she slowly lets her gaze wander towards the corner of the room behind her. The very image of herself standing there, dressed the way she used to in expensive attire and a presence that demanded admiration. ❝ I'm not supposed to be here. ❞ She whispers once more, still shaking, eyes staring at the very reflection of who she used to be with a quivering lip.

her existence was a quiet one. many would try to call out to her, but in recent days she had found that too many humans tried to reach something that was not meant for them. it left her ... restless. day after day she would ignore the calls, would focus on the voices that needed her most instead.

hecate, they called her. far away. how wrong that was; she was right there within reach. how could they have forgotten her name? had it been too long?

she let her gaze wander across the earth, feeling her witches, making sure they were alright when suddenly a stranger's voice stopped her. althenea. a gasp escaped her, and all her focus was directed to that one voice. indeed, it had been a long time. she listened carefully, paid attention to the request. she used her network to find the witch, and the hint of desperation in her voice made her decision easy.

it had been a very long time since she last took her human form but she found herself standing near a forest. althenea kept looking for the source of the call, walking for a while before she find a woman seemingly prays. a few more moments of silence passed before she stepped into the dim light created by the fire.

"who is calling me? are you of the blood." her voice sounded strange to her, unfamiliar, but she knew it was hers. clear as the nightsky above. "many have called for the goddess, but you called for me." the dark haired woman stepped forward, reaching out, tentaivel touching the woman's head. "speak, child, what sorrows claim your heart? have you wandered too far to find your way back?"

❝  i  can  assure  you  i  am  real.  ❞  they  say as they clasp their hands in front of themselves,  voice  calmer  than  usual  as  if  trying to  prove  a  point.  perhaps  going  for  a  walk  in  the  woods  with  their  wings  wide  open  and  flapping  was  a  terrible  idea, but it was a must when they have to have them hidden for too long, posing as a mortal - so much caution for being caught in the end anyways.  alas,  lucifer  wasn't  here  for  the woman.  in  fact,  not  for  any  mortal  for  that  matter.  there  is  a  certain  someone  they're  looking  for  in  the  world  of  men  and  to  their  dismay,  they  have  to  be  around  humans  to  find  said  person.  ❝  contrary  to  popular  belief  i  tend  to  only  hurt  if  i  have  a  reason  to...  ❞  lucifer  winks,  tilting  their  head  to  the  side  as  they  watch  the  woman.

wendy! first of all you've always been iconic just by screaming about ts with me, i'll always trust ur opinions. ur lottie is so???? incredibly good and i loveee the dynamic that we've created for tai/lottie, i think they really are two sides of the same coin + are underrated !!! you're very kind and i can not wait to write with you more often <3
