He was the best night watchman we had. He seemed to be possessed of some absurd lucky streak that followed him wherever he went. He never stumbled, never fell, his equipment never failed. His agility was unmatched. Further, he had a knack for being alert when the others needed rest, and could stay awake for days at a time if needed. Putting him on recon was the logical decision. He took to it well. For a while, everything was fine.

He disappeared on reconnaissance one night. Where his orders placed him, there'd been minimal activity. There was no reason for him to vanish. Yet, it is not uncommon for men to go over the wall and never come back. We assumed the worst, scratched him off the list, and moved on to the next soldier.

By some strange miracle, he returned almost a year later.

But he came back...wrong.

Out of nowhere, he reported to my office in the middle of the day. His cloak was torn and he reeked of pure ozone, but his blades were clean and accounted for. He spoke quietly, barely above a whisper, apologized for his absence, ready to accept whatever discipline was due. I dispatched none.

We've since revised our records to indicate his living status, and we've placed him with the Survey Corps.

But he barely sleeps. Rarely eats. Won't eat with the others. We've yet to see him drink. He won't let any of the doctors touch him. Nor will he divulge the truth of his disappearance. He hasn't stumbled yet. He hasn't fallen. His equipment is still in working order. His speed is unmatched. The captain can't keep up with him. He continues to serve, remains loyal, and doesn't cause any problems.

But, something is still...

WRONG.

I am calling this au “Attack on Felid”. I couldn’t think of a better name to describe the big cats 😭 I had a lot of fun with both designing Falconwing and The Cougar.

Sharing my thought of the day:

What if there were a crossover between Attack on Titan and Clair Obscur – Expedition 33...?

Picture this:

Erwin as the expedition chief of the 33rd. His father was part of the 45th expedition, and Erwin was his apprentice his whole life. He now dreams of verifying his father’s theories about the Paintress and the Continent — Saving the world, of course ! 🤭

Hange, an orphan whose parents were erased when they were a child. They have an obsession with the Paintress, which caused them to be ostracized growing up. Hange is passionate about Pictos and draws them directly on their skin. Erwin sees their potential clearly. They dream of discovering the continent, checking out the legends, the Nevrons, and defeating the Paintress.

Mikasa, also an orphan, was adopted by the Yeagers. She could be Erwin’s apprentice, along with Eren and Armin... I’m not sure about their roles yet. What’s certain is that Mikasa wants to join the expedition to save everyone's future and, one day, build the life she dreams of with Eren.

The 33rd expedition team might include Mike, Nanaba, Moblit, and maybe others... 🤔

They could be the first mission to travel using the ODM Gear... and they’d meet Levi on the Continent, where they would have to unravel the mysteries of the Ackerman family.........

I would DIE to read that... 😭

Of course, it wouldn’t be all fun — lots of major character deaths, a heavy plot...

And perhaps multiple points of view — starting with Erwin and Hange, then introducing Levi later.

I have so many ideas, but not enough time to write such a complex fic. Let’s be honest, the story of Clair Obscur is incredibly difficult to adapt with other characters… 🤯 but I’m convinced something amazing could come out of it.
