2 Weeks Until Impact...

Received my placements for my theatre and chorus classes...I got Concert Choir and Ensemble Theatre. No clue what either means but I guess we’ll figure it out. Finished my Honors English 1 summer work, but AP World History is still in progress! Picking up my new computer and my schedule this Monday...more info then!

Things I was never taught as an honors kid

"Put it in your own words."

I have no clue how to paraphrase. They say put it in simpler terms but no one ever told me how. How do I take an already simple sentence and make it my own?

"Make flash cards."

I don't know what the fuck I'm supposed to do with flash cards.

"Only write the important parts."

But it's all important? What are the important parts??? It's all the important part.

"Be sure to study."

Fucking how?????

"Academically challenge yourself."

How can I be academically challenged when everyone treats me like I should be breezing through all my classes and when I am challenged and I fail I am punished.

School starts on the third, and I got my homeroom assignment today. If anyone's wondering, at my school homeroom is at the end of second period so your second period teacher is your homeroom teacher. The first day of school you go directly to second period. But I digress. So I open my letter, and it says the Psych teacher's name, Ms. K. At first I'm like, "Ew, I don't want AP Psychology at 8 in the morning, like the fuck is this?" But then I remembered I had AP Calc AB first period- one of the worst things I've ever endured and am still recovering from- last year and I figure, "I am okay with this." I found out one of my best friends is in the class with me, too, and now I'm more than okay with this, I'm really freaking excited. I've wanted to take AP Psych since I started high school. I just feel like senior year will be great. My schedule will be up on Genesis in a few days, so I'll be back around the 30th to talk about that.
