Im thinking of my mcd rewrite, and I had a whole different idea for levin and malachi.
The time skip fucking KILLS me but I dont want to get rid of it, I just feel it should happen differently.
7 year old levin 10 year old malachi, and a 7 1/2 year skip putting levin at 14 ish and malachi at 17 ish. There's just something about being 14 and traumatized that his so different. I cant put it into words.
The joy of having your mom back but not being able to connect with her despite wanting to. The anger at being abandoned but knowing it wasn't on purpose. The years of struggling. Let me make levin a little angsty shit who can't tell if he wants to fight or cry or both. It's both.
Then malachi, despite having Zoey growing up taking care of levin, always having that distance between everyone and himself from the centuries he spent alone. He knows what it's like to wait, and he'll do it again. Only think time he has a time limit. Give me malachi grappling with his mortality and struggling to balance new maturity that comes with living age and the hundreds of years of memories haunting him.
Give me malachi who's both too old for his soul and to young for his body. Give me him raising levin more and more as they grow pushing Zoey aside because hed rather focus on levin than himself.
GIVE ME APHMAU COMING HOME AND THEY BOTH ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE THE CHANCE TO LET THEIR INNER BABY CRYYY!!!

my favorite part of the aphmau fandom is that I joined as a an aarmau fan and saw the larmau, garmau, aphcinda, etc shippers and was like “im in enemy territory”
but now I’m like “oh those guys? yeah no those are my fellow soldiers. we’re all fighting for the same thing we just wear different armor yk?”
Okay, probably last thing for the TrollsxAphmau designs I’ll do for a while. This time around, my Zoeymau QPR family
Aph: Redesigned her slightly because in the first drawing of her I wasn’t doing a ton of troll headcanons, but now I absolutely do. I’ve decided I want the classical trolls to be bird-like. Aph’s wings don’t work though, so they hang down more like a cape.
Levin: Country funk (Garroth being a country troll and Matilda being a funk troll) hybrid. Basically an alpaca centaur, I love him so much
Malachi: Pop troll, originally Aph found him mostly crystallized and drained of his talent. His connection to the family has strengthened him somewhat, but he still has to limit his singing, and is constantly bundled up to keep warm.
Zoey: Funk troll. I thought her design would be ugly but it actually came together super well. Then the colors, which I thought would be easy, were the thing that actually gave me a lot of trouble lol.
I HATE HOW DOWNPLAYED LEVIN’S TRAUMA IS IN THE APHMAU FANDOM. (Ig you can call it trauma?)
HE WAS SENT OFF TO THE YGGDRASIL FOREST WITH HIS BROTHER AND CARETAKER WHEN HE WAS FIVE AND JUST DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS HAPPENING. HE DIDNT KNOW WAR. HE DIDNT KNOW THAT HIS ADOPTIVE MOTHER WOULD JUST DISAPPEAR FOR FIFTEEN YEARS. HE WAS RANDOMLY ENTRUSTED WITH AN ENTIRE CRUMBLING VILLAGE AND WHEN HIS MOM CAME BACK HE WAS EXPECTED TO JUST ACCEPT IT?!
THE THING IS MALACHI REMEBERS HIS MOMENTS WITH APHMAU SINCE HE WAS A GHOST, HE CAN CALL HER MOTHER BECAUSE HE SEES HER AS A TRUE MOTHER FIGURE. BUT LEVIN CANT. APHMAU HASNT DONE ANYTHING LEVIN REMEMBERS TO PROVE HER AS HIS MOTHER. WHICH IS WHY THROUGHOUT MOST OF SEASON TWO HE KEPT HAVING TO REMIND HIMSELF TO CALL APH MOTHER WHILE MALACHI COULD JUST CALL HER MOTHER WITH EASE.
WHICH IS WHY HIM BEING SUCH A MOMMAS BIY IN SEASON THREE IS SO HEARTWARMING. HE FINALLY SEES APHMAU AS HIS MOTHER AND HE WANTS THE MOTHER SON MOMENTS HE NEVER GOT WHICH IS WHY HE’S SO CHILDISH AROUND HER. (I personally HC that he age regresses)
