With the Aphmau X Garroth X Laurance ship being “the answer to all her romantic problems”

It just reminds me why(I’M ASSUMING) a lot of people like Aarmau and why it’s so popular is because Aaron is the opposite of Garroth and Laurance’s bad traits

Which is good and bad

(Edit: I never explained why it’s bad. It’s bad because Aaron has no flaws other than “being a werewolf with red killers eyes” - that’s not a flaw. That’s an aspect of his physical character. Aaron literally does no wrong, and if he ever does it’s always for the sake of Aphmau for arguably a good reason. Laurance is jealous, petty, but he protects Cadenza and Lucinda as Aaron does Aphmau. Garroth is a bit self righteous arrogant and also jealous but he would die for whoever he calls a friend. Aaron just loves Aphmau and that’s it. “Oh but he’s shy” “oh he gets angry sometimes” yeah the worst he did was kill Blaze but he gloss over that shit so fast because “ohhh well he was angry and wasn’t himself” BROTHER)

In most recent cocomau videos in the diaries channel every time she claims to be dating Garroth(and by the way stop watching those videos, they’re catfishing you. He’s never dating ever, she’s never domestic with Garroth as she is with Aaron in everything else, it’s just to get you to click because “look! Garroth! And maybe I like him but we’re definitely breaking up two minutes before the video ends even though if the title of the video was different you could never tell we were dating in the first place”) they always break up in some way because Garroth fears/hates the idea of anything that could put Aphmau in danger

Even though she isn’t too bothered by the chaotic life, Garroth doesn’t believe it’s fair to involve Aphmau in those responsibilities and insists maybe if everything passes then they can have a peaceful life

With Aaron — while he doesn’t like to put Aphmau in danger either — somehow she’s always involved anyway??? So even if he doesn’t want her hurt, they never have a real discussion of “oh this could hurt you” because Aphmau is already 0.1 seconds away from getting maimed

So

Aarmau works because half the time Aphmau is the drama or she’s already involved it in before Aaron can confront her about staying out of it

Idk

And Laurance is just jealous. It’s weird and it’s kinda dumb cause in diaries the jealous trait he had as a shadow knight felt like it came out of nowhere and aphmau tried to make it appear to be a side effect of wanting to kill her rather than this new thing and almost opposite effect of what a shadow knight should feel

He grows obsessed with the idea of her instead of killing her, and almost like an adverse yandere if he can’t have her, she has to die.

Aaron, obviously, doesn’t get jealous.

He does a tiny bit later on when he has a dream abt Garroth marrying Aphmau but like — not in the “she’s mine” kinda way but in like a “you can’t have her because she’s not anyone’s” way.

Unlike Laurance.

And Laurance does get better at being jealous in Mystreet later on… by fucking leaving.

He’s gone shortly after Aaron and Aphmau get together and doing fuck knows what

Apparently his parents had a baby or something idk

It’s weird

But YEAH

Because Aaron is the opposite of Garroth and Laurance’s worse traits(mostly in Mystreet) he’s the ideal choice

However in MCD

He’s like the worst fucking option because we don’t KNOW HIM and Aphmau names her daughter after his dead wife????

It’s just weird to me

Anyway

I don’t like Aarmau in MCD, I’m split between Garmau(season 1 that’s the side I was on) and Laurmau(That was my season 2 endgame) but if polyamory did exist then

Maybe it could’ve worked because to Aphmau the only thing that was holding her back from either was

1. she didn’t want Laurance/Garroth to get jealous or hurt or hate her

2. She was/is a Lord trying to run a village and save the region

So - felt like all her answers could’ve been solved with a nice long conversation about well why can’t I date you both but also can we wait until we’re not at war thank you guys

Garroth and kim is a dynamic I like. Not a ship way, but as friends. Do I think they are a good ship to? Yes but thats not the point of this post.

The same for aaron and garroth.

Or aphmau and zane.

Or really any pairing, because I've noticed something with this fandom. Anytime I post about dynamic its always assumed to be shipping. I saw this a lot with my garkim/kimroth posts.

This fandom has a shipping problem and cant just let people be friends. I think if I tried to explain QPRs to some people in the aphmau fandom they'd cluch their opinionated pearl necklace and gasp like I insulted their dead grandma or something.

Seriously, what's with you all and going "yeah you make a good point but I just cant see them together". Its NOT about romantic relationships. There are so many different dynamics to be had in the real world, and since i think 2020 ish the fandom latch onto polyamory which isn't bad but I dont think some people can see past that or even step back to enjoy the platonic side of things.

I see this a lot when people talk about characters they don't like (especially aaron) talking about how bad he is in the shipping department. Ok- but look at his friendships to and family/family-ish relationship with his friends.

There is more to stories than romantic relationships and ships. If mcd/myst/mt/smp/ any fucking show went no romantic relationships at all id be just as happy as now.

Hot Take Opinion time!

Alternates season 2 is a waste of time in my opinion- season one was good but I can’t help but feel incredibly bored with this season- I think its the cast. Don’t get me wrong, all the returning characters are good, but Peebs is just… why?? His voice is annoying and WHY IS HIS NAME PEEBS. And I like seeing the Mermaid Tales girl there but Lindsay Jones makes me angry for no other reason than being a reminder that RWBY exists. It feels like filler in between mermaid tale eps.

Peebs better not be in Mystreet 🫶

I don't remember much about PDH but....

Did Aphmau and Aaron get together in PDH? No the fuck they did not. And THANK FUCK FOR THAT.

In Phoenix Drop High, Aphmau and Aaron were not dating. They were simply just high school friends, and Aaron had a crush on her but did not confess because of reasons, and he's a puss boy sometimes. Aphmau did not know that. Took his shy ass to say something years later even when he saw her at Falcon Claw University.

Aaron was also quieter and more enigmatic as a student, whereas Aphmau was social and sociable. They did have some short meetings, but their romance only begin in MyStreet, where they were reunited after so many years and eventually lived together.

In Phoenix Drop High (PDH) Aphmau was 15-16 years old and Aaron was 18 -19 years old. Read my rant about this shit since people on tiktok and twitter can't seem to understand what the FACK is going on.

It could have been that Aaron thought it kind of weird because he was older than Aphmau. Although it does not matter as an adult that there is 2-3 years of difference, as a high school student it will feel more because he was about to graduate.

The reasons why Aaron would have felt that way are:

He Was Going to Graduate. As a senior, he was aware that he would be graduating from high school shortly, whereas Aphmau had another year to complete. He may have known that it would not make any sense since he was leaving.

He Kept His Distance on Purpose. Aaron already kept most people at arm's length, so he likely avoided feelings of romance in general. If he liked Aphmau, then he would likely have been resisting them because he did not want to end up falling for her.

The "Older Guy, Younger Girl" Problem in High School. Having a one-year age difference when dating is considered to be uncomfortable in certain high schools, particularly since seniors are perceived to be older or to be ready to move on with the second half of life. Aaron may have been uncomfortable dating a junior when he was about to become an adult.

He Presumably Assumed Aphmau Had Another Crush. Because Garroth and Laurance were so openly interested in Aphmau, Aaron may have assumed she wasn't interested in him. Instead of attempting to compete or intrude, he simply kept out of the way.

In general, although the age difference wasn't huge, Aaron may have believed dating her in high school would be wrong—either due to their stages of life, his own introverted personality, or because she already had other guys in her life. Not to mention the werewolf shit and family issues.

Also if they were a true fans they would know the damn connection between them was because of Irene and Shad. Like, me deixa quieto, caralho! always a debate with these people. The writing was a liitle ass back then and was in need of some polishing but mf did most of us give a fliying cacao?? NO!

I don’t even like Laurence but for fucks sakes why does he always look somewhere between a tik tok e-boy and a freshly divorced white suburban dad about to pick up his kid from soccer.

4. Zane having a crush on aph (or any of season 3 really)

This could’ve been interesting if he acted like an actual adult. Listen sometimes I like a whiny miserable little man but I don’t like a full blown 27 year old crying like a fucking baby over a girl that is already IN A RELATIONSHIP even want him. That’s not just unattractive it’s fucking weird. It’s yet another case of an interesting concept done poorly. Just because he doesn’t have any social skills doesn’t mean decorum always needs to be thrown out the window.

let’s not forget the time he literally said he want to repopulate with her. WHILE STILL LIVING WITH AARON. No I’m not kidding. What the FUCK.

5. ghost/kim

Ghost/Emmalyn is just such a bad character. She literally attempts to SA/full blown Sa’s Zane I don’t need to say anymore. And Kim is straight up just useless she does absolutely nothing to help the cast or the plot other than be a vessel. At least characters that I dislike (as people) make me feel something. Which makes me hate her more. Her character is literally nothing without ghost.

6. Jess implying Ein is a better villain than Zane.

fuccccck off. I don’t even like MCD but at least Zane made his own plans and didn’t need plot device to the tenth degree to make him hateable.

7. Mystreet/McD are in the same universe/timeline

Every time I think about the ladder half of season 6 i have an aneurism. Like every-time I rewatch with friends I forget everything that’s told to us.

8. Jess imply Melicinda was going to be endgame

This is gonna get me in get water maybe but I- I don’t get it guys. I mean at least Garrence I can’t get even though I’m personally not a huge fan. My feelings about Melissa aside- there’s nothing here. Literally nothing. Baron. The fruit is dryer than a raisin. So why Jess bought into it or tried to set it up- I’ll never know. Baiting your queer audience is trendy I guess.

8. Zanvis.

I’ve seen things. Things that will never be scorched from my mind. No matter how much bleach I put on the stain. It will never leave me… god… is this why you won’t come back to us? Because of what we have rot on your beautiful earth?

why is kc such and a-hole in aphmau’s newer videos?

k so this is gonna be kinda rant-y

This doesn’t make sense with the 1 dimemsional characters in aphmau’s latest videos, specifically kc. (I only watch aphmau’s recent videos because I need something to fill my hunger for content.)

At first she is shown to be a very cute, caring character who loves baking but is clueless about her feelings for Zane. Now she has turned into a selfish person who get jealous super easily and hurts aph because of this.

I’m not gonna say that mystreet kc wasn’t flawed, because she was. But nowadays kc has turned from a character with good character development to

~ leading Zane on for no reason

~ getting with aph’s boyfriend

~ attempting to ruin aphmau’s life

~ kidnapping aph’s children

I’m not sure why Jess wrote her to be this way, esp since she never learns from her mistakes. Hell look at the latest video ‘someone replaced aphmau in MINECRAFT’ and the video titled ‘who hates aphmau in minecraft’ spoiler alert: it’s kc

and in yesterday’s video ‘save aph or save kc’ kc dies every time. I think kc has developed ‘Hate on Ein’ disorder. She too has become just another punching bag to dump on. The same thing happens with ein, where when aph does something, it’s fine but when ein does it it’s not. (I may do a rant on him later because the did him so dirty man) legit in the my best friend backstabbed me (it’s kc not Zane) video aphmau literally says “it’s fine if everyone finds that prank funny, kc but somethings people don’t find it funny and that’s not okay” or sm like that but like- you ‘prank’ your friends for no reason and when people want the best for you you blow up their houses!-

Maybe little kids find this funny, I don’t know but personally I like all characters being included, learning from mistakes, not getting dumped on and slowly turning into selfish versions of themselves. Kc could has been such a good character but alas they took away the potential for a non-annoying character :( but that’s mostly it I think- I needed to rant
