Stan a short king today
finished day 2!
(characters in order of left to right: aphrodite, ares, hephaestus, apollo, artemis, athena, dionysus, hermes, iris, persephone, cur, bur, us, polyphemus & aeolus)
(for some notes: artemis skinned the snake that chased her mom & made belts for her & apollo. athena has the scar due to what happened in the oddysey, dionysus is a familiar of the magical side of corruption, cur, bur & us are based on theater mask (cur is comedy, bur is tragedy & us is bloodshed), polyphemus is blind & aeolus is a bigender since aeolus is female in epic but is male normally.)
Jesper impulsively made an offering jar for Aphrodite, he filmed it, and I’m fucking crying. He’s so funny and expressive. But She loved it so that’s all that matters lmao
Hey, imagine if the claiming of Aprodite wasn’t about making the camper beautiful and sexy or whatever but thinking about that scene from Harry Potter during Bill and Fleur’s wedding where Fleur’s beauty was so potent it cast out a light that made everything it fell on beautiful also . . .
So imagine a claiming where the camper can see with new eyes. Eyes that pick up instantly on the beauty of all the campers around them. Even if they couldn’t see it at first. They see the the little curls brushing on someone’s head, the way a scar curls with a child of Ares shy smile, the dance of a child of Hermes busy hands? They don’t look any different, but somehow they see different. And when all the festivities are over and they trudge back to the cabin they realise that the claiming also works on their reflection.
Look who joined the party!

Honestly, this one:
She simply looks so majestic, so lovely, I also love all those statues (I couldn’t find one I’m in class) with her having a little chub. I LOVE THOSE STATUES!
Because she isn’t skinny but she is still owning it, loving herself.
