My thoughts on the AQA Geography Paper 1 - 22/05/18
Gah, doing two of these in one day...
Anyways, the only thing I really have to say about this exam is that my time management has never been so... awful.
I’ve always finished Geography exams with around 5 minutes left to check. However, as usual, I did the two 9 markers first and then looked up at the clock and realised I’d spent half an hour on that 😬 so I had to zoom through the paper and finished with about 2 minutes to do all the one markers I had to skip. Somehow I managed to go back and check the formation of Ox-bow lake question which I’d somehow managed to get totally wrong??
So other than timing stressing me out the entire exam, I’d say it was pretty good. There weren’t really any questions that I did not know. So, I’m happy with this one :)
If you guys did Geography, what did you think?
Geography Physical
Alright lemme get started with the fact that I used TWO case studies through the paper. TWO. I revised about 14 and TWO came up I'm fuckin fuming but atleast a lot of the other candidates thought it was a bad paper too. I think it went well and I hope the grade boundaries are good, as I didn't really think the questions were hard and I answered them pretty well. I'm hoping for a good grade, and think it went well despite the weird questions.
05.04.2017 Ending today's revision with a mindmap on the conflict in Afghanistan, this is part of the reason I love geography, it's so broad! This morning I revised volcanoes and the air masses affecting the UK and now I'm revising the conflict in Afghanistan and all 3 of these things are considered the same subject! In other news, I've decided which accommodation I want for uni and which college (the uni I'm going to is collegiate) but I can't apply until June 😩 and I've been added to a group chat for people on my course on Facebook. It's all starting to feel very real!

Finishing off some geography notes. Condensing them down into some exercise books i bought today for revision.. easier than carrying my folder around.
AQA GEOGRAPHY PAPER 1 - KEY POINTS FOR GCSE 2018
I said I’d do one for Geography! Apologies, but nothing for Literature :( also sorry for not typing it! Nowhere near as many people do geography as science so I’ll type the science ones but not Geography I don’t think... I think the photos are fairly good quality so you can zoom in, but feel free to ask if you don’t understand something/can’t read it, and I’ll happily elaborate! Geography is one of my strengths.
And once again guys, best of luck on your Literature exams, I hope you do well, especially better than me if you’ve been working hard for this! I know you can do it! Be sure to get a good night’s sleep since it is an early, long exam! 😁✨
Day 16/100 of 100 Days of Productivity! (24/03/18) 🌍📗 Today I feel like I made up for the lack of studying/productivity yesterday. Firstly, I completed a full Part 1 practice paper for the English Language 9-1 Paper 2 (Non-Fiction, Writing About Viewpoints). I also did a couple of pages revision and review of Resource Management, and how food demand and production has changed in the UK for Geography. As well as practising my grade pieces, I also learnt a new arrangement for “Nuvole Bianche” in which the first few bars are played as broken chords and in the octave above - I like how it sounds! Finally, I did some quick revision (from the DSM-5) about the characteristics of Specific Phobias for my Psychology GCSE. 🎵 Say Amen (Saturday Night) ~ Panic! At The Disco 🎵
Day 10/100 of 100 Days of Productivity! (18/03/18) 📚📉 Today was a very productive day, especially with science (sort of makes up for yesterday). I wasn’t sure I’d get it all done, but after 6 hours of solid work, I did. Firstly, I did the Geography revision homework, which was to make revision notes on Prediction, Protection and Preparation for earthquakes. Then, I revised Hormones, Negative Feedback, Plant Hormones, The Menstrual Cycle, Thermoregulation and The Elimination of Waste Products. Then, I made notes on Waves, The Electromagnetic Spectrum, Light Waves and Lenses. Finally, I revised the topic of Chemical Analysis. All of this is in preparation for my final GCSE Science mocks next week. 🎵 Discord ~ The Living Tombstone 🎵
