This is my honey gourami , her name is Puddles. She has a minor spine deformity that makes her look like someone attempted to make a balloon gourami. She is very confident and sweet

If anyone has any ideas on her spine feel free to talk with me about it! Its up and a slight bit to the side. Any ideas are welcome ❤️

okay so uh I need some help- I have this small planted tank stocked with planarians, copepods, snails, and amphipods. They've been thriving for several months, but I checked on them today and they're all dead??? There's a few survivors, but not many. The plants are fine though, which is kinda odd. My dad takes care of them when I'm at my mom's house, and I asked him if he'd put anything in the tank. He said he had topped the water off with conditioned tap water like he always does. I just tested the water and it says it's very alkaline and very hard. Does anyone know why this happened? Nothing new was added to the tank, I genuinely have no clue what caused this. And what should I do next? How can I prevent this from happening again in the future?

hey could someone lmk what's going on with this fish's spine? Im 95% sure it's a pearl gourami which normally look like the one on the right. I don't think it's bloated

I picked up a free 55 off of Facebook marketplace so the goldfish are gonna stay in there until their pond is set up in the spring! Here's what it looks like right now (a little barebones but it's not the permanent set up for them).

So! I was thinking of stocking the 38 gallon with a dwarf flame gourami, school of endlers, school of emerald Cory cats and kuhli loaches. I'd appreciate feedback on the stocking! Also any ideas for the 55 after the goldfish are done with it. I know they have a weird footprint so I'm not sure what to do with it. Thanks yall! ❤

Gonna face my fears and do a planted aquarium 😤

Its gonna be a low tech 10g for a Betta. Based on what I read, I decided to buy crypt wendtii green, java moss, and water sprite. Reviews for the finnex stingray led said it was good for low light plants, and because my tank already gets a lot of natural sunlight, I went with the clip on version. And I already have my filter + heater.

Now the problem I'm running into substrate and fertilizer 🥲 The moss seems pretty straight forward, just tie it down and make sure it gets some nutrients. But the crypt and water sprite are giving me some trouble.. I'm finding lots of conflicting information regarding substrate size (gravel vs sand vs dirt) and what form of fertilizer is best for them (liquid vs root tabs vs stuff like fluval stratum).

If you have any experience with crypt wendtii green and water sprite (even Java moss tips are appreciated) please feel free to leave some advice!! I'm in desperate need of it 🤩

Well friends, I seem to have another slight disaster on my hands...

Specifically, some kind of fungal infection. It seems to be in the gonophore and eye of one leech, and just the gonophore in another.

Fun times.

I've quarantined all the leeches from that tank, pulled out all the big rocks and plants, and removed all the water. I work all day tomorrow, but I should be able to start disinfecting the tank and accessories on Sunday. I'll keep all the leeches quarantined for at least a week, longer for the visibly infected.

I am looking for antifungal medications for invertebrates/fish, but there isn't really any studies on the effects on leeches that I have been able to find. If anyone on here has any experience with this, please let me know!!

Important Question

So I know you can't use a terrarium tank as an aquarium, but can you do the opposite; use an aquarium tank as a terrarium tank?

I ask because I was helping a family friend clean out a house and found a (I think 5 gallon) fish tank. I've been wanting to get a class pet for my 3-year-olds so I was thinking of using the tank to house 2 hermit crabs.
