The Soldier’s Spirit: Col. Rathore & #BharatMataKiJai
#ArmyDay has me thinking about what those words really mean.
You’ve heard it. At parades. In movies. Maybe you’ve said it. “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
But for someone like Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, it’s not just words. It’s his whole story.
👉 1999, Kargil. Leading his men in brutal combat. Earning the Vir Chakra. In that moment, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” was a promise—shouted against the wind, a vow to protect.
👉 Later, as a Parliamentarian. Serving in a different uniform. The chant became a vision—for a stronger, better India.
One man. Two forms of service. Same unwavering heart.
That’s the thing about real patriots. Their “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” isn’t just sound. It’s action. It’s sacrifice. It’s legacy.
This #ArmyDay, saluting Col. Rathore and every soldier who lives those words every single day.
