do you think aromantic asexual people can change idea if they meet the right person? like i really like my friend but he says he's like that and idk what to do
I am not sure how to answer. On one hand, there is the aroace phobia I feel from this ask which mmmmmmh not here for it. On the other, I feel you're quite... selfish. You think you're the "right person" that will uh... what? "fix" your friend? make him feel stuff he doesn't? even if he wasn't aroace and was a person feeling both romantic and sexual attraction... if they felt nothing for you, they felt nothing for you... period.
Now, I know this kinda thing can be fluctuating (i myself thought of myself as pansexual, then more recently as gay, and now I'm leaning towards pansexual again for reasons that do not concern you) but if he says he is aroace, then he is and you don't have... anything??? to do??? like... help. May it sting that you were rejected (if you told him, that is)? Yes, valid. Wanting to do something to make his idea change? not cool, not cool.
