Honestly not sure if I identify as poly because I actually am poly (whatever that means) or because my aromantic brain can’t distinguish between romantic relationships and friendships, and obviously you can be friends with as many people as you want

Aromantics Be Like...
Some Random: Aromantics don't exist!
Me: Oh yes. I'm just here, not existing. Don't mind me, just chilling in my bubble of fake.
When I meet a new person
Oh, God. Please tell me you only want to be friends. If you end up liking me I'll die inside. Please don't crush on me, you'll get hurt and the chance to have a friendship will be destroyed. Omg. You'll tell all your friends what a bitch I am and I'll end up excluded from everything.
Fun game for aromantics/asexuals: take a shot every time someone says "when you have children"/"when you get married"
My Reylo song is Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Golding [where I change “love” for “want”,“need”,“long for” etc etc to avoid the romantic context]
So last night I saw a guy at a dance that at a different dance months ago (September) expressed interest in me and I panicked and went into intense feminist mode to scare him off after the (September) dance when he was texting me. I felt kinda bad because I just shut him down and never gave him the chance to be friends by the way I responded. But at the same time I didn't regret it because it was self-defense (emotional/psychological/mental wellbeing). So yeah I saw him last night, and he looked really attractive. And now I kind of feel like I missed out on something because he looked really hot... BUT I DON'T EVEN WANT ANY ROMANTIC OR EVEN SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS.
Accepting your orientation can be damn difficult when you don't want to have it and half the world tells you it doesn't even exist.
