CALLOUT POST! Reposter - please help

Can y'all help me take down the reposts and/or account? They are a thief and liar. Don't haress them - just report them 💜

The account "the.mimic.one" has built their entire account with reposts of other people's work.

They have reuploaded 3 artworks from my Twitter, which I don't condone.

Even though they credited me, I still don't want my art reposted on instagram again. I posted it there too. I clearly state it everywhere that I don't want my art taken/edited/used or reposted. It's my art - it's my call.

The reposter account claims to "take the post down if the artists wants" you know, except when an artist really wants the post removed, then they just ignore them. their words are copy-pasted like everything else on their account. they are hollow and mean nothing. 🤡

They ignored my DM, ignored my comments on every post and deleted them. they also deleted other people's comments calling them out on it too.

I messaged them on May 31, asking them to take the posts down. no response. Instead, they reposted another art of mine on April 7.

the newest repost has 20+ comments, yet when you open it, there's not a single comment anymore. HMMM 🤔 How strange!

They are aware of what they're doing and trying to hide any evidence.

They claim to listen to artists and their wishes, and yet blandly ignore and delete my simple request do take the post down. They really wanna die on this hill instead of simply deleting it 🙄🙄

This account on Instagram is reposting my art and is roleplaying/using my OC.

This person is not associated with me in any way. I do not allow them (or anyone) to use my art and OC's.

DO NOT go and attack them. I do not condone bullying in any way. Just report the account.

I tried asking them to take down the drawings and to stop using my OC, but they refused to listen and continued to repost more of my art.

It doesn't matter if they're giving credit. It's not okay to repost people's art or use their OC's.

there's what looks like a bot of some kind reposting people's fanart with their captions and tags that includes a part that says "read more" with a link attached to those words. DO NOT CLICK THE LINK. i don't know where it takes you but it can not be good. this account is posting practically rapid fire reposting art about one piece now, too.

please report the account and then block it!

Art Thief/Reposter Warning

Hello Puzzleshipping artists of Tumblr. Wanted to spread awareness of a particularly prolific art thief/reposter here on Tumblr.

@qyza8kcq4x6udjq is taking and reposting the art of many artists from Twitter, Instagram, Pixiv, and even from tumblr. They are reposting the art without credit to the original artist.

You can’t report the stolen art without filling out an DMCA, and that needs done by the original artist.

But what you can do to support the original artists is DO NOT LIKE/REBLOG the reposter’s posts. Help spread this awareness among the fandom so that we aren’t inadvertently supporting and enabling this behavior.

The best we can do is encourage them to stop reposting art, as it is theft. And to encourage them to get permission before reposting and credit the original artist.

If you can, if you recognize the art, try to contact the original artists and let them know so they can have the art taken down if they so wish.

reposting someone’s art without their permission is not right, it disregards all the work the original artist put onto their piece. art reposters need to be called out, and everyone who sees this needs to report and block @inkondeadtrees

So i saw the insta messages before their Twitter (they'd blocked me on Twitter I guess) so get ready because we're going to look at this.

Had I seen the Twitter messages first I probably wouldn't have been so polite.

For starters, I have dm'd with them before.

Those screenshots are a few months old.

Anyway. That account got banned and they are claiming we never talked but whatever.

My Twitter threads that they claim are harassment are simply statements of very Public knowledge compiled along with my own personal experiences with that person added along. I do not condone harassing them or anyone and have been clear about that. See threads here.

Also I don't know what they're talking about with "getting involved in something with birf" (which, they got themself involved by taking all of birfs art but whatever) as I have said that I don't speak for birf. They didn't tell me to talk about it. I only involved myself of my own accord because my art was also taken, and what truly got me worked up was seeing my friends art taken (which was not properly credited).

Anyway, back to birf- I want to once again say that they haven't asked me to do any of this. The most I've ever interacted with them is the occasional reply to comments and liking posts that they're either directly mentioned or tagged in. I am a fan of their work and that is all.

And quite frankly, the threads and posts were not made on their behalf. It was made by me for me and for artists in general.

Anyone who has spent more than five seconds looking at birfs stuff would know that they don't go about asking for posts to be made to harass others or cancel them. They're actually pretty closed off in their corner of the internet.

Now let's forget about birf and talk about the art "not being stolen". To put it simply, giving credit is not the same as having permission. Taking someone's work and reposting it is still theft whether or not you state that youre not the creator. Fandom spaces tend to forget that.

Also the assumption that I've never been harassed online is ridiculous. I've definitely had my fair share of getting shat on. While I do understand that it was most likely just them being scared by the sudden attention and Twitter threads about them (which I get that- that's scary), that doesn't mean you should tell creators "fuck off :)" or bitch at them for asking politely to have work removed.

If it takes multiple threads and posts exposing your behavior to get you to remove it then you're not just being nice. Nice would be apologizing and removing it AS SOON AS ASKED TO. Not only after being called out and the call out gets some attention.

As for "reach out to me instead of posting about it" how do you expect me to do that when you constantly leave comments off and don't accept dms? I tried to reach out to you and I have before. This time though, I posted about it. Because we'd been over this before.

Also you can't say "I removed it. Go check. But I'm not unprivating for you to see." I can't see when it's private.

Ultimately though, they did unprivate for me to see. I didn't sit and dig though. From what I saw, some was removed though.
