was thinking about rapport and how much art has the vibe of a teenage girl laying on her bed kicking her feet and writing in a diary about her new friend she made and. in trying to map that image onto a fuck off huge spaceship my brain offered me a vision of a fighter jet blushing and tilting its wing flap dealies. obviously i don't think spaceships have wing flap dealies but. art talking to iris about murderbot and she looks out a porthole and there's like a satellite or a sensor or something tilting back and forth and she's just immediately transported back in time to being 14 and talking about crushes at sleepovers

Hey folks, tagging suggestion for us to consider: Why don't we use the tag #mutual administrative assistants for any content of Murderbot and ART interacting, and save #murderhelion for shipping Murderbot and ART? A lot of people like Murderbot & ART's canon dynamic and relationship, or queerplatonic content in general, and still blacklist shipping tags because they do not want to see romantic or sexual content of these characters.

Especially with romantic non-sexual content, there isn't a way to block romantic content of these relationships except by blocking ship tags. In addition to using ship tags as appropriate on posts discussing a romantic/sexual relationship, leaving those tags off of posts depicting a platonic relationship helps our fellow fans who would like to be able to engage with posts about the characters' relationship while avoiding romantic or sexual shipping.

Anyway, personally, I've always preferred the portmanteau #ARTbot- that's the one I use for platonic/queerplatonic pairing content.

Murderbot and Perihelion, agender, asexual, aromantic, and human. Not that it stops them from having feelings about each other, capitalism, the homeless pandemic, and existence in general.

Friends from school, they find each other again 10 years later and build the life together that they should have had from the start. Meals are cooked, pets are adopted, and family is found.

This fic series has been a labor of love for the past 5 years and 180k+ words. AND IT'S STILL NOT DONE because it is a comfort write and I hope it's a comfort read too. It's stretched my imagination and my worldbuilding abilities. I've learned so much while writing it, and I'm gonna keep going!

What I'm saying, is I hope you can be along for the ride with me. ❤️
