Her skin was so warm and tender. The blush turned her a deep pink. The witch squeezed her big eyes shut. Out of the corner of his eye, Draco saw her loosen her grip on the sheets.
Just as slowly, so as not to scare her off, Malfoy bent down to her disheveled hair and inhaled the delicate fragrance. She smelled like a newly opened rose. Charming, attractive, gentle and a little sweet.
"Tell me your name," he whispered into her hair.
Quietly, but firmly, the witch replied: "Hermione."

Jinlintai’s brown rooftops and smooth, pale walls shine majestic and still in the dapple pastels of morning. Contrary to the Lanling capital’s usual hustle, fraught with political deals and rumoring intrigue, Lan Xichen climbs the steps to the welcome pavilion, accompanied by his clansmen, and struck by the silence of the guards posted on every odd step. It is as though the Jin are more afraid of those who might enter with opinions less than exultant of their hosts, than invaders with brutality in their hearts.
At the top of the stairs, in the welcome courtyard, unbidden, the image of Wangji, crouched and bleeding in the cold rain, overlays with the false serenity of morning. To Lan Xichen’s horror, his brother sits there, motionless in the oncoming sun, hair cut, body and white robes drenched in glacial water, stripped to his back as a dark pool of blood seeps from the lash wounds in his flesh. His stare is empty, cold, like it always is for anything he holds a deep distaste. Full of scorn for his older brother, Lan Wangji judges him, though Xichen stands tall above him.

The door creaked faintly. The witch felt it rather than heard it.
The soft footsteps were getting closer.
Hermione turned her head.
And the dark, determined look in his eyes made the blood in her body rush to her face and down somewhere at the same time.
Draco stood in front of her, dressed only in a thin black silk robe. Without taking his eyes off her face, he ran a long, clawed finger along the edge of the bathroom with amazing tenderness.
His hand turned palm up, inviting Hermione to stand up.
As if mesmerized, she put her small hand in his. He pulled and she gave way. Water was running down her naked body. But the embarrassment did not come. Just the heat. It glowed and curled under the skin of thin collarbones, freckled cheeks and thighs.
Yeah. These two would usually not get along, but needs must and they have a job to do. Jobs they don't want their respective sides butting in on. Now I would have posted this earlier, but I got dreadfully sick. So I hope this was still worth the wait! A deeper look into Vaggie & Alastor's situation and their other forms to boot! No, but I started calling it an "artfic" at some point. Mostly due to the fact that there's just as much (if not more) writing involved to make this AU as there is to draw! Not to worry though. Charline is introducing her first ever girlfriend, Vaggie, to her circus running dad, Lucius Magne. But unbeknownst to them, Vaggie is hiding a big secret: She's Charlie's guardian angel! Tasked with setting her on the right path towards good, but to make things more complicated, the family's live-in hire, Alastor, is actually a demon that's been trying to tempt Charlie's dad to the opposite side! So how can this unlikely pair keep their respective truths hidden when mysteries start to unfold, how do they play house while also playing tug-of-war for Heaven & Hell, and just HOW did they get in this situation in the first place? Well, one thing's for certain, family dinners will never be boring as feelings unravel and everything grand is yet to be revealed. So tune in~!
