After taking some time to study Lore Olympus art style and taking advice from @genericpuff I attempted to create a goddess that I have found to be my favorite.
While I might not become a webtoon writer or creator, I would love it if someone tried to write a story on Macaría the goddess of blessed death.
She only has two mentions currently in history, and one refers to her as “the daughter of Heracles sacrificed to bring destruction on a village.” (If I remember correctly.)
And the other as mentioning as hades daughter and nothing else.
I’d like to imagine that she was sacrificed to Hades and Hades pitied her. So he turned her into Thanatos’s assistant to help bring souls back to the underworld (since Thanatos and Hermes must be overworked.)
Each of them bring back specific souls.
Thanatos brings back the souls who died from things like plague or in their sleep.
Hermes brings back the souls who died from wars or maybe accidental deaths.
Macaría brings back souls who died “honorable” deaths like sacrifices and deaths the gods deemed honorable.
But all is not forgiven for Macaría. Despite her domain being Elysium, she is not a happy goddess. In fact she’s disgusted by human sacrifices remembering her own death.
So her plan is to seek revenge against her father.
Heracles himself.
Anyways, this is a work in progress art piece! She’s supposed to reassemble a priestess in her design. Her hair is meant to ressemble being blood soaked from the sacrifice along with part of her body being transparent.
She’s supposed to be holding a ceremonial dagger but I got tired.
Oh and her eye on her left side (right to us) is blind from being sacrificed.
