Jason’s soulmate mark has to be a mistake. He doesn’t want to fall in love; he doesn’t want to be in a relationship. While the world rushes in search of The One, Jason longs to settle into his life without romance. Then Dick shows up with his smile and his charm and his perfectly matching soulmate mark to the one on Jason’s wrist. Jason doesn’t know how to tell Dick that he can’t be in love with the man, that somehow the universe made a mistake. The lies are getting bigger and Dick’s heart is on the line, Jason is going to have to tell the truth.

For what it’s worth: If you didn’t know this week is asexual awareness week, which is a week that means a lot to me. This fic is absolutely beautiful and amazing and I know a lot of people don’t write ace or aro characters but it means so much to me when they do. If anyone wants to read up on ace info go here. This is a well-written soulmate au that brings a completely new concept to soulmate au’s that I’ve never seen before that I find absolutely amazing. I have a lot of feelings about this fic and it’s amazing to get to read something like this.

Ya’ll!! So this is one of my favorite stories of all time, and as an a-spec person, it 100% speaks to me. I get so emotional every time I read it, and I feel the need to share it with you guys because it needs recognition. It makes me feel understood and like I’m not alone. None of you are either, and I hope that if you take the time to read this story, you can feel the way I always do after reading it.

(Also, kudos to the author! I’ve tried messaging them and hunting them down, but alas, they are nowhere to be found. If anyone knows who they are, or if that’s you, I need them to know how special this work is to me and how grateful I am to them for it.)
