Allison had a set routine that she followed at night: once she was done work, she headed home where she cooked up a small dinner and changed into comfy clothes, before settling either in the green house or her living room. Sometimes, if she was feeling bored, she’d go for a walk among the trees, watching the sky with interest as the stars shifted faster and faster.
Looking at the dress Ash was holding in her hands, Allison bit her lip and looked down at her outfit and then back up. “I don’t know Ash - what’s wrong with what I’m wearing now? Last time I went out, this was acceptable. When did jeans and a shirt fall out of fashion?” Tonight, her routine had been thrown completely off kilter by the blond vampire standing in her bedroom.

There were a few people that Remy hadn’t had the chance to catch up with. Not with all the mayhem going on in the last few weeks, but now that things had calmed down to some new weird sense of normal, she was actively trying to put her social life back together. Sat at a table at the cute little yogurt shop, cup of orange cream flavor between her hands while she waited. “Let’s not go that long between talking again ok? I’ve missed your face.”

Though the weather was starting to warm up, the nights were still freezing and most normal people were inside, tucked away in their nice warm beds, images of sugar plums dancing in their head. Or whatever mortals dreamt of. Imogen walked the empty streets, hungry, bored, and looking for a good time. It was almost an hour after curfew and while it seemed the town had wised up a little, she was sure there would still be someone foolish enough to risk their lives. A soft scuffle caught her ear and the vampire beelined for the alley from which it came, a cold smile tugging at her lips as she found not one, not two, but three humans all seemingly otherwise preoccupied. This would be fun.
Moving further in, a quick compulsion held all three in place, frozen in time. The first male trembled violently as Imogen moved around him, her finger trailing gently over his throat before she extended her fangs and slowly bit his neck. Warm blood rushed over her tongue and she didn’t bother trying to muffle her moan of pleasure. Two hundred years was a long time and the blood bags from the bank weren’t the same as a fresh victim.
Movement caught her attention and she glanced up from her meal, taking in the sight of the blonde in front of her. Languidly licking up the boys neck, she nipped at his ear before nodding towards the newcomer, the lower half of her face dripping red. “Have you come to play lovely?”

Send ’ 🎉 ’ to kiss my muse at midnight on New Years Eve.
The fireworks are going off, flashes of bright red and yellow dancing on the horizon, the crowd counting down the seconds until the new year hits. It’s intense and crowded and Allison reaches out for a familiar hand, clasping it in hers as the noise rings in her ears. “Happy New Years, Ash.” Pulling the vampire’s head towards her, blond hair falling back, Allison planted a kiss right on Ashely’s forehead, before wrapping an arm around her waist, watching as the firework continued to light up the sky.
A Bear
@ashfilledsoul
Being a witch had its own set of problems, particularly a blood witch. This particular spell required bear blood. Luckily, Taiga was in balls-ass Nova Scotia, and there were plenty of bears around. He’d trapped a black bear in a circle, a big creature with matted black fur, and tamed it with the first part of the holding spell.
Of course, the nature of this spell’s working was such that it was very easy to go awry. All it would take was another human—or worse, a vampire—coming too near to the protective circle.
Taiga enjoyed killing animals, but this spell called for the bear to stay alive for the duration of the spell. Taiga was draining the blood from the bear the humane way, with a phlebotomy kit.
Once it was over, the bear would be free. He didn’t need that much more, anyway.
Pulse [Past]
@ashfilledsoul
He’d checked her three times, including once by hand.
No pulse.
Lifting up her lips, he saw her fangs were out. But she was responsive: she was moving and groaning despite a lack of pulse. Karim knew she was a vampire, which meant the ambulances outside were better saved for another.
But he couldn’t leave her here, in this building belching smoke.
He picked her up in a fireman’s carry and brought her out and down, but to the back entrance, not the front. He carried her down the narrow alley and away from the danger of the blaze and the compromised building.
"Stay hidden,” he told her. “I’ll come back for you.”
He dove back into the blaze.
Three hours later, Karim went back to the burnt out building in Brooklyn. He needed to find that vampire—she’d been in a bad way, and she’d be a sitting duck for any hunters around.
He circled around the skeleton of the apartment building, which he’d helped cordon off.
