Hey yall I know you know this but please get consent before you do anything with somone else's body!

Please just ask it's not hard, you wanna sit next to somone ask, you want to cuddle with somone or join a cuddle puddle ask, you want to hug somone or shake their hand or pat them on the shoulder, ask ask ask!

I litrally had somone today lightly bite my neck while we were cuddling without asking my consent, that's not cool, it's a minor consent violation and definitely not the worst thing they could have done but it made me feel gross and they didn't bother to ask first! Especally since my neck is a no go zone for any sort of marks, if it had left one It would have been really awfull for me, I work with clients 1 on 1 who I don't want seeing that! So please ask is all I'm saying it take like 5 seconds to confirm consent.

consent is so fucking important. for anything. whether its anything sexual, touching someone (non-sexually), using something that doesnt belong to you, doing literally ANYTHING!! you need to get consent from the person. it doesn't matter if they have said in the past that they are okay with it, that doesn't mean that they are 100% okay with it everytime you want to do something..

one time when i was drunk, i started talking to a guy. i was being nice, enjoying the conversation, and asking him questions about him and stuff. you know, smiling and listening. about and hour after we’d started talking, he kissed me without consent and i hated every part of it. then he had the audacity to say: “you can come with me home, but i won’t promise anything will happen, cause i have to get up early tomorrow”

in which world does me being a decent fucking human being mean i want to fuck your stupid ass? and this isn’t just because i’m asexual. it’s because assuming someone wants your body, when all they did was being nice to you, is wrong.

yes, my asexuality is the main reason i didn’t want to, but i didn’t know about my sexuality at the time, so leaving the guy was hard because of how broken apart i felt during that moment. both because of internalised acephobia and because me saying “i like your tattoo” is apparently flirting even though it’s literally just a compliment.
