HIHI hi !! I reblogged the ask thing then instantly went to sleep lmaoo. This turned out SOO rambly so i can clarify whatever you want.
1: What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?
Give him like an hour? Like if he's literally just sitting in a chair in the void? He's sat at airports waiting to see if someone would mistake him for a taxi before just to feel something before so.
2: How easy is it for your character to laugh?
Its pretty difficult to pull anything besides a little nose exhale. Hongqi's teeth are a little janky so he makes a conscious effort to barely even smile. Post-death he's a little more giggly since he can finally chill out.
15: How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?
Hongqi's bilingual in theory. His first language is Mandarin and while he can speak English, he stutters and pauses quite a bit. I guess for like an actual voice Korekiyo's English voice actor is pretty good for what I have in my head for like.. vocal cadence when he's speaking clearly? Idk lol. He rehearses his interactions to the point where if theres any break in the mental script he freezes up and will probably just leave as fast as he can.
43: If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?
He's aroace but he doesn't know that, so he would explain it as "Obviously I like women, Ive just never met one that I wanna have sex with. Shrug."
B: What inspired you to create them?
Ok for his most recent iteration (im not going into his whole design/story history rn lol) He was inspired by a lot of J-horror like Ringu or The Grudge, then I started actually reading into Taiwan/Chinese spirit legends. After then it was just taking things from previous iterations of him and mushing them all into a ball of a man I can be autistic about.
