D-10 –> prompt 9, 27 and 29: “So….. you wanna….hot chocolate and chill?”, “So… Looks like we’re the only ones without dates, huh.”, &“If you throw that snowball, you’re declaring war”
“You’re going inside whether you like it or not.”
Minghao, your best friend, basically dragging you to this Christmas party
he keeps telling you that you have to leave your house
or you’ll spend Christmas alone again
which technically doesn’t sound like a bad idea for you
but he insisted helping you find a guy or a girl to spend Christmas with
which is sweet of course
but his way of helping you
dragging you to this Christmas party with people you barely know
makes you just want to push him straight into the 6 inch of snow
“Minghaooooo. I have other things to doooo”
you whine as you try to pry yourself from his grip
“Like what?”
“Ohh, you know. School stuff. ” you lied
“We’re on Christmas break you dumbass.” he chuckled
welp you really have no choice then
so you just pout at him
“That won’t work on me. I’ve been with you for years.”
you still continue pouting though
“Come on y/n. Just try to meet someone. I don’t want you to spend Christmas alone again,” he adds
“Ugh fine. As long as you don’t leave me alone.” you give in

well he broke that the minute you guys were inside
wouldn’t blame him though
his friends are here
which is probably why he decided to go to this party
he always tell you things about his friends
and spends most of his time with them when you’re busy doing something
you have met a few of them actually
like Seungcheol, Joshua, Jeonghan, Soonyoung, Chan, Seokmin and Seungkwan
and they all tell you the same thing
“Wait until you meet the others” or somewhere in that line
and that just boggles your mind
because you have already met like 7 of them and they're telling you there’s more
there’s this one friend he always tells you about though
this Jun guy
you have never met him unfortunately
but you have heard a lot of stories about him through Minghao
and found a few similarities through it
he even wants you and Jun to meet each other
but because school is a huge pain in the a-
you never got around to meeting each other
sigh
well you’re already at this party
might as well try to have fun
fun being
awkwardly dancing to the music
drinking some eggnog that you're 117% sure is not eggnog
and playing a few “Christmas” games
like spin the bottle, eggnog pong and 7 minutes in heaven
it’s already been like an hour or two since Minghao has left you
you have bumped into some of his friends from time to time
like seeing Soonyoung take the dance floor
Joshua singing Christmas songs in the corner with his guitar
and Seungcheol stressing over a broken bauble
Minghao checks on you every now and then
more like insults you every now and then
“There’s a guy over there. He looks lonely like you.” he points at someone
“Insult me one more time Xu Minghao and I’m dumping this hot chocolate on you.” you threaten
and after like a few minutes of whining that you want to go back,
he goes back to his friends and leaves you alone
though being by yourself, drinking hot chocolate
you notice a few things
everyone is wearing a coloured ribbon on their wrists
everyone is with someone with the same coloured ribbon as them
they seem to never leave each other
like as if they’re glued in the hip

Minghao dragged you into one of those parties
but did he take you as his date?
no definitely not
he left you the minute you stepped inside
and he has a ribbon on his wrist
while you’re left with none
you sighed and stood up
heading to where the hot chocolates were to get your 3rd cup
and you awkwardly shuffle through the people to get to the backyard
and just sit in the bare snow
drinking your hot chocolate
stargazing
and making cute little snowmans beside you
you can hear the loud Christmas songs behind you
you can see the Christmas lights illuminating the white snow
and the smoke of your hot chocolate and icy breathe
staring at the stars left you in a daze
wondering what it would feel like if you had someone
like how the stars have the moon
you’re wondering when you’ll find your moon
and in that moment
you hear the sliding door behind you open
you take a look
and see the most beautiful human being you have ever seen
and you see a guy walking towards you
your eyes met for a second
but since you’re only light source are the streetlights and the moon and the stars
and the lights are coming from behind him
his face is basically a shadow
but you can still see his beautiful features
he sits down next to you
you avoided staring at him
so you turn your eyes back to the sky
and he does the same
the both of you stayed like that for a few minutes
with only the stars and the moon as company
in all honesty
people would immediately stand up and walk back to the house if they’re in this situation
but you felt somewhat
comfortable?
that you’re with someone
"So…looks like were the only ones without dates, huh.” he chuckled, breaking the silence
you take a look at his wrists
nothing
no ribbon
why though?
even though you didn’t see his face clearly
only some of his features
he still looks like someone who would be able to get any date in like a second
“I guess so. My friend dragged me here because he wants me to meet people."
"Well, you’ve met one right now,” he smirked
his smirk made you blush
“I actually met one before you. He was getting hot chocolate but drank it too fast and now he has a burned tongue.”
"Ah so I see you have met Mingyu,” he laughed
out of context but he looks beautiful when he laughs
he has beautiful eye crinkles when he smiles
the way he smiles seems so genuine
and his laugh is angelic
even though you can’t see his face clearly
the light the moon is shining is already enough to see how beautiful he is
this can’t be love at first sight
nope
never gonna happen
“You’re looking at me like I’m a Christmas present you’ve been waiting to open.” he winks
“Flirt with me one more time and you’re getting coal from Santa.” you joked
and he laughs beautifully again
damn did your heart melt
let’s just say the flirting didn’t stop
but so did the talking and laughs
you found out that he can speak Mandarin
and that he can play the piano
and would like to have a lot of cats
likes memes
is a huge dork basically
but a flirt
he can say 10 pick up lines in less than a minute
they were all cheesy
but sure did leave you speechless and flustered
you tried doing the same to him
but he just hits you with a better one
soon enough the conversation died down a bit
and now you’re both back to just staring at the sky
while sipping on your almost empty cup of hot chocolate
“So…you wanna…hot chocolate and chill?” he mumbled as he takes a sip of his hot chocolate
you almost choked on yours
good thing it wasn’t that hot anymore
“I’m sorry what?” you asked, looking at him
“Do you wanna hot chocolate and chill?” he asked, looking at you with a smirk on his face

you hit his arm
“Yah! Don’t ruin hot chocolate for me! And I don’t even know your name!” you exclaimed
“Well if you say yes, you’ll find out.” he winks

he’s cute
okay more than cute
but you’re done with all his flirting that leaves you flustered
and you just wanted to throw 10 snowballs at him
or push him down the 6 inch of snow
whichever works
so while the two of you continued talking
you were secretly making snowballs
when the conversation ended
you stood up
“Where are you going?” he asks looking up at you
“Nowhere.” you smile innocently
hiding the snowball behind your back
“Sit back down then.”
“Hmm, I don’t think I can.”
“Why?” he looks at you in utter confusion
you just smile at him
it took him a while
it took him a minute actually
“If you throw that snowball, you’re declaring war.” he stated
“Merry Christmas.” you smile
and just threw the snowball at him
you laugh in satisfaction
he is now covered in snow
especially his brown hair
he looks adorable
but he gets what he deserves
you were too busy laughing at him
you didn’t even notice him making a snowball until you felt it hit you
“Yah!”
“This is war.” he stated
and so the snowball fight began
it was mostly the two you hiding from each other
and you hitting him almost all the time
you’re currently inside the small fort you’ve made by pushing all the snow to the sides
making more snowballs
but he caught you off guard
you don’t remember what he did
but he is now on top of you
“U-uh what are you doing?” you ask
“Winning.” he smirks
you threw some snow at his face as a respond
now you’re both in a giggling fit
“Nope, you lose.”
he lays down next to you
and just stayed there silent for a few minutes
he suddenly sat up
and you did too
“That was fun.” you smile at him
“What? Me being on top of you?”
“Don't.” you playfully hit his arm again
“I had fun too.” he smiles
you’re now looking at each other
you can see his eyes clearly
it’s like a replica of the night sky
you’re like a few inch away from each other
and he starts leaning in slowly
and your heart is beating so fast
you may not know his name
and he might be killer or something
but if a beautiful human being
both inside and out
is trying to kiss you
why would you decline?
especially on Christmas night
so you just close your eyes
waiting to feel a pair of soft lips
but you feel nothing
instead
