heLp why is david tennent in asoka he's stalking me i'm trapped he's everywhere
I gave up on Star Wars after episode 9, haven't paid for any content in 3 years, never seen a single episode of Mandalorian or Boba Fett or Obi Wan, and I'm still probably gonna skip the Asohka show whenever it comes out, but the fact that they cast Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla has at least piqued my interest if nothing else. She's a treasure, and while I'm not willing to break my Star Wars embargo for her, I'll consider watching clips on youtube. Then again, I don't want to see them butcher Thrawn any more than they already did in Rebels (he was a master tactician/detective in the books, and they turned him into a non-threatening Saturday morning villain, "I'll get you next time, Rebels, and your little droid too!"), so maybe it's for the best that I avoid the franchise completely from now on.
The original trilogy will always have a soft spot in my heart, but I have to pretend nothing else exists just to be able to watch them without pointing out the continuity errors. In my world, there are no errors because there are no sequels, and I cherry-pick bits and pieces from the prequels while completely ignoring their bulk (I have imaginary versions of the prequels that exist solely in my head and are canon compliant to the OT without resorting to retcons and "certain points of view..." Maybe I'll write fanfic someday)
What's my poison?

Sending my love to all the people who (like me) are in a different timezone to Anaheim and are gonna miss all the announcements as soon as they come out and will have to catch up the day after everything has dropped.😭
Galaxy Wide Participation
At some point soon I’ll be attempting to make an absolute behemoth of a post that outlines the Star Wars timeline, only solely focused on the most sore-subject elements (like Jar Jar, and Luke portrayal in TLJ), and the means to have “a better take” than what was given to us at face value.
It’ll be nothing you haven’t seen before on my blog. But, it will serve as a single post I can edit/keep up with current media cannon as the new shows/movies come out.
So starting now, and extending after, feel free to send me a message on a subject you’d like me to cover/add to the post, or a hot take that I can edit in.
The whole idea is to:
A - Give everyone a reason to enjoy the Star Wars story, even if it made some questionable choices.
B - Show Disney that we’ll use their shitty plot devices against them.
C - Give the directors of the new shows ideas to put into the story that have a higher rate of fan approval.
May the force be with you all, and I hope to hear from you.
Over the past month I’ve been watching Clone Wars for the first time, so I drew Asohka! I love her so much!!!
