My Notion Grimoire template (available in dark and light mode) is 35% off this week over on my Etsy! If you haven't picked it up already, you should definitely check it out!
✨healthy attachment levels to belongings, can let go of things easily but will not just throw every possession away like Pluto dominants
✨Despite not being money or possessions-driven they always have their needs covered, shelter, food, etc... (unless other placements indicate otherwise)
✨in times of crisis they can manifest money out of THIN AIR, car broke down and need money for a cab? $20 dollar bill appears at their feet
✨are EXCELLENT at abundance rituals, so so good (if you have this placement give it a try)
✨so organized with money!! since they don't have an urgency to spend they can economize really well
**I plan to do Sakura next, but if you like what you read and wanna request someone sooner, feel free to ask! I am focusing on the Konoha 11 + Sasuke and Sai and Gaara as they were born the same year(ish?) to start though, but in no real particular order.
• Aquarius is in Detriment in the Sun, meaning that it has a hard time Functioning in this Placement. Simply put, Shino is going to have a harder time expressing himself and growing into himself as a person. He often feels lonely. He likes the idea of being of service to his family and village, and works hard to do so, but socializing doesn't come that easily. A Humanitarian Placement, Shino wants to aid his fellow men, and as an adult pursues a career in teaching. His interest are also considered Unique (some might say unsettling) and he is firmly of his own Opinions and Thoughts. He is intelligent and thinks of the greater good and is able to keep a cool head (most of the time lol. like 95%).
Moon Element is Most Likely: Water
Cancer (Anime)
Scorpio (Manga)
• The main difference between Scorpio and Cancer Moons is that Scorpio is in Fall while Cancer is Domicile. Scorpios are more emotionally obsessive (Fixed) and so feel very intensely (Pluto), which can lead to more Impulsive Reactions (Mars) due to logic playing second fiddle in the Heat of the Moment. Cancer Moons are more Emotionally Charged in general (Cardinal) and tend to show more in Nurturing Roles (Moon). Both value privacy in the Moon, but Scorpio would rather show their "Bad and Ugly" Raw inner-workings before becoming Vulnerable and Opening Up. Cancer is guarded period, and will practice the Silent Treatment more than anything, but can be more easily coaxed into Opening Up when they Feel Comfortable or they Feel Helpful. Both are water signs, and so despite being the core personality, you will not meet this side of Shino as a child unless he really trusts you or he becomes emotionally invested in a person/situation. Otherwise as he gets older, he will grow into it as he matures and will be able to control his emotions more efficiently, but these Moon Signs/Core Personalities still need to be persuaded to come out as is Water's nature. Shino can get pissy and hold grudges, sure, but he has a Tendency to want to Play the Leader as well as his Inclination towards Helping Children gives me Cancer Moon vibes. But the Scorpio Moon potential is definitely there. Shino is not dreamy enough for a Pisces Moon.
Ascendant Deemed as: Virgo
• Shino resembles Shibi a lot, who is canonically a Virgo Sun. Shino dresses in Earthy Tones but also dresses for Functionality. He is very detail oriented and is often described as nit-picky and mild during first impressions. He's always been seen as mature for his age, and was often alone or only in preferred company, even if preferred company is an insect. Some of Shino's behavior as a child can stem from an Anxiousness and a need to Keep Busy, yet, the Activities weren't always to his liking. Shino was even shown to counter Iruka's directions as a kid due to some kind of logic as to explain why he couldn't/shouldn't have had to do something. He will often voice his displeasure or differing opinions as well as explain things to people unprompted and without solicitation. He's always able to adapt to situations with a level head and practical thinking, but it doesn't mean he's not screaming on the inside about it. Sometimes in the Anime he actually screams on the outside about it because his Anxiety reaches a threshold. To adults he is seen as a promising up and coming Shinobi. To (small) children, he is often seen as someone cool and collected, someone who is knowledgeable and whose word is taken at face value. There is definitely more than meets the eye at first glance.
Mercury is either
Capricorn
Aquarius
Pisces
Shino is probably an Aquarian Mercury. Everyone swears Shino speaks in riddles and he's hard to understand but truth be told he's just a little different and that's okay. But when you're different sometimes people don't wanna take the extra effort to understand you, verbally or otherwise. Shino says things straight, I really don't see what's so hard to process besides the audacity every now and then.
Venus is either:
Sagittarius
Capricorn
Aquarius
Pisces
Aries
• At this point I'm willing to bet Shino is a Capricorn Venus because the dude seems to be the type that is married to his fucking job rip, lol. Meme-wise, Capricorn love making money and the daily grind plus some gives them that. So in Venus, Capricorn places a high Value on their Time and Effort when it comes to Relationships. To a Capricorn Venus, Relationships are Investments, so you gotta be worth their time or show them why you should be if you wanna nab one of this placement. This also makes Shino choosy and feel lonely due to his own high standards, which only encourages him to fill the void with more training and bug appreciation and less play because to him, he has no one to play with. In Anime Filler, he even still doubts he has friends at 17-years-old. Another not so obvious match is that Shino is proud of his skill as a Shinobi and wishes to fight someone strong. If he actively wants to kick your ass, you already caught his attention.(COUGHCOUGHKANKUROCOUGHHACKINGSOUND)
Descendant: Pisces
• When your Ascendant is Virgo, your Descendant will most likely be Pisces. This means that Shino is attracted to Pisces-like Quality's, partially what he wishes to have and partially what he wishes in an Ideal Partner. Shino appreciates Intuition, Gentleness, Creativity, and of course, Compassion. I feel he best expresses these Piscenean traits when he deals with insects, his beloved hobby, friends and battle companions as well as with the small children he runs into. Nothing is too small to be considered less than something else. This also suggests that Shino may seek out and desire a partner that simply understands him on an intuitive level and accepts him unconditionally. An evolved Pisces is wise and an inspirational visionary that brings the best out of people. However, this means Shino could be unwittingly charmed by the allure of someone who's Chameleon Skills are rather polished, and whose Ethereal sense of Presence ends up hiding a Cold-Blooded Shark that leaves him wounded, bleeding and drowning in an Ocean of Emotion. The dark side of Pisces is a Master Manipulator who plays the Victim, a Rotten Empath who is completely Self-Serving with their gifts. Pisces can also be prone to addiction, as this Sign struggles with the idea of Boundaries. But as Shino says, Never Underestimate Your Opponent, no matter how small they seem. Good motto!
Mars is likely in Scorpio
• I was tempted to make him a Capricorn Mars at first, but very honesty, Shino actually likes a challenge. Shino as an adult will mentally throw hands with 12-year-old over a math problem, he doesn't fcking care when the pettiness starts to set in. He is motivated and moved by challenges. He wants to Discover a New Kind of GIANT Insect and tame it, which sounds impossible. And yet according to Boruto he at least added one (1) giant insect to his arsenal. He wants to fight someone strong, he doesn't care who. He actively carries MFing Ki-DAI-chu in his body, which is a whole lot of work that is considered very hard to do by most Aburame!! Capricorn and Scorpio are seen as the darkest signs of their respective elements and get dunked on a lot, but in a Venus/Mars combo they actually highly compliment each other. Capricorn only settles for the best and what it deems "Worth It". So in Shino, Mars will actually not be (noticeably) active until Venus gives a reluctant figurative Green Light to continue. And Shino defo reacts to confrontation with Scorpio Energy. He holds grudges, he gets his revenge no matter how little, he can be MEAN. Sometimes he is VERY MEAN and threatening. Sometimes that purple mist manifests when he's irritated enough, and that's pretty terrifying. When he gets angry, Shino definitely embodies Scorpio for how Emotionally charged he is. When Shino's pride is wounded though, and he "loses" his confrontations, he becomes very reclusive and it weighs heavily on his mind. He does not let things go, and sometimes it runs his mood/day. Then he directs his energy toward himself and punishes himself. But you try to bring him out of it, chances are he'll lash out and say something that pisses you off for good measure because he wants his privacy and he's so angry his filter is gone. Snip snip sting, bug-a-boo. If he acts this way it shows he cares and cares deeply, helped along by his Moon, but there is still such a thing as restraint and tact and I feel he does mind himself rather well.
IC/Imum Colie - Childhood Roots: Sagittarius
• People like to pin Sagittarius as fun and games, but the truth is Sagittarius is known as the Philosopher of the Zodiac. Sagittarius are hungry for knowledge, because to them, knowledge really is power. There is a sense of Tradition in a grounded Sagittarius. The stereotype of a free spirit comes from Sagittarius need to learn to accept that Tradition isn't always best and to Broaden their Horizons. Except in the IC, Sagittarius was most likely not allowed to reach that potential, and was bound with Responsibility to Family. Shino does come from a Noble Clan after all, and the Aburame History is one shrouded in mystery, so much so that even a Konoha Noble clan member like Neji Hyuuga regarded the vague description of an Aburame Individual a myth, only to be shocked when he scoped Shino's insides. Shino's conditioning as an Aburame was probably very extreme and to a tee. And for him as an individual, it was seen as a necessary part for his success, regardless if it was healthy or not for him. (And who would ever say raising a child to be a soldier was a good thing already. But really?? BUGS IN HIS SKIN, Y'ALL. THAT IS CRAZY. WHAT KIND OF INGRAINED MENTAL SCAR OF A PRACTICE IS THAT!? WHO THOUGHT OF THIS AS A GOOD THING TO CONTINUE!? Especially seeing as it serves no purpose in times of peace. What then, of the Aburame?) Ask Neji and Shino, and they'd both tell you that as far as the mission goes, XYZ is important. Because it's the Shinobi code. Shino knows this code well. And in a maybe not so twist of events then, Shino also becomes a Teacher, imparting not just Aburame children, but the children of Konoha willing and able to follow through on this code to become Shinobi themselves. But then he becomes an Adult too.
MC/Medium Coeli - Midheaven: Gemeni
• That's why as an adult, Shino learns to navigate his outer world as one would expect from a Gemeni. He learns why his brother was taken from him. He learned what it's like to have friends. He learns what it's like to be a part of a Team. He learns what it is to look past your own family, your own self, and realize that sometimes, Tradition needs to be broken and Bonds if Trust are worth just as much as Bonds of Blood. He looks after kids that come his way. And he imparts on them words of wisdom and knowledge. But it becomes knowledge of experience, not of what he was told. Suddenly, there's, more than just one way to do things, and maybe the way things have been done was never necessarily THE right way. Just a way, the first way he experienced. But that came with a lot of pressure and pain. Gemini have a bad rep for being scatterbrained and flighty, and in the MC, may never hold a stable job, and that’s very generalized and unfair. What I think it could really mean, at least for Shino, is that he merely now has the opportunity to really think outside the box that he had been kept in mentally for so long and is now free to grab at whatever he wants to try next. Especially in times of peace. What new ways can he apply his teaching, if he wants to stay a teacher? What's a new code he could teach students, something that doesn't take them for granted like he and so many others were in his youth and before him? He may not be the most savvy exactly, but he definitely is very smart and can multi-task (which is something he's had to do when you really think about it).
- That’s usually all that matters for Individuality! So I’ll be stopping here as far as planets go (for now). The rest of the houses and info of their placements can be found online, but I’m open to receiving asks about my stances and/or differences in opinion too!
