Besides under the influence of drugs and alcohol? Thaddeus is pretty ambiguous. His emotions are pretty heavily guarded because he’s uncomfortable expressing them (like, you have to get him even more drunk lol looks pointedly at Mukuro), and because certain strong emotions will directly affect the weather around him. Thaddeus is on a pretty even keel for the most part. He’s mellow and would rather be in a chill (ha) atmosphere. 

(´；Д；｀) = What worries the character

Thaddeus is aware of his mental health and his ego, and he worries about both constantly. He’s afraid of becoming a megalomaniac and dangerous like his father, since dragons like him have an inclination to be selfish, possessive, and materialistic to an extreme. He’s not sure what emotions are appropriate to express most of the time (clinically, he is on the psychopathic spectrum)--he emotes and does his best to guess what he should say/do and how to respond based on what he understands as “good” morals. He walks a razor’s edge on letting his whims guide him and doing his best to be a good person, even though he messes up a lot.

( This is after I looked and listened to samples of what “cackling” is, that I will answer this~ )

( Henry’s laugh can be considered light giggles, which he sometimes stifles because often he tends to laugh in the wrong circumstances. It’s not so often, as generally he likes to chime with a smile instead, sometimes making a huff sound like another giggle. Examples of his giggles are the little ones like “hehee” or “teehee”, which are rather light and almost docile )

( When he’s in the middle of a fight, or when he finds something hilarious, he begins to cackle quite a bit. This is the “Nya ha ha!” that you would see often, which is quite loud at times, and sometimes mistaken for the caw of a crow. This could be intentional as well, going with his imagery of being constantly surrounded by crows. )
