Chapter one of Asylum Seeking is far along guys! For this story I’m taking a different approach than i did with Lil Slugger, but I hope you guys’ll still like it!

Having way too much fun working on Penny’s wings, I gotta focus on the rest 😅

I’m balancing a few projects atm, and I decided to add in combing through Lil Slugger’s pages and editing/correcting some of the illustrations now that I’m better at drawing Penny and Cecil. I figured as I go, I can put some time into coloring.

I also might be distracting myself from the fact that I had a good chunk of Asylum Seeking typed up playwright style, went to sleep, only to wake up to find I did’t plug my laptop into the charger and it died thus deleting all progress on that front. I’m especially salty towards Microsoft Word for not auto recovering my document like it usually does. Remember to always save your files, and as frequently as you can. You never know when a program will just decide to quit unexpectedly on you, or when your computer battery dies. 

I’ll have an update on Asylum Seeking hopefully within the next two weeks. I really wanted to have rough outlines started by now, but a set back is a set back. Nothing I can do about it now other than redo what I had.

There are many new sights, beings and people to meet when you leave your home country. Adjustments will be hard, but you can find comfort in the smaller things you find in common with those around you.

This is Kiren’s first interaction with someone who’s both aquatic like him, and cold blooded as well. At the Ethereal Lock, he’s made a genuine connection, and a genuine friend in a place he least expected it. 

Everything in Eswood is different from Thaibi, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

With We Are Cryptids first book 'Lil Slugger' being released, the next book is currently underway! After 'Lil Slugger' gets a colored publication, I'll be putting most of my time and effort to this project.

'Asylum Seeking' is aiming to be a bigger, longer project that dives straight into the main plot of the series.

A few smaller follow ups to Lil Slugger will be posted between the works as this is heavy set up for the plot, but stay tuned for more teasers for the next work in progress!
