I just drew out the redesign for my character Darwin, and comparing him to the original design from 2019 is hilarious to me. That was almost 3 years ago!!! That’s so flippin crazy to me. It felt like so long ago when I first drew him and created his character when really it wasn’t.

It also makes me really happy to see how much my art has improved over the years! When I start posting the chapters with him in it (or when book one of We Are Cryptids is finished), I’d love to write out a comparison to his personality that happened in that time. He used to be such an annoying, stuck up character and I went through the process to Dibify him (hopefully people who watched Invader Zim will get the reference lol).

I genuinely love his character, and I’ve funneled so much of myself into his personality and experiences (there are differences, but still). I hope I can get you guys to love him too.
