PLEASE READ THIS
This is a letter to atiny but especially black atiny ( from a black atiny) and also other kpop stans as most of you may or may not know, hongjoong had cornrows during a set of concept photos. Now of course like always people spoke up about it and atiny started to email KQ. Then we got a response from the dance teacher saying that they were sorry and would better educate themselves next time and would take the steps to fix it. Later that day KQ made a statement saying they could only change the hairstyle in lives but could not change it in the photo cards or in the mv. Now as we all now KQ is a small company so this is understandable. Now I've been a kpop stan for 4 years and ive seen braids on idols come and go . I've been told we were overreacting and that trying to educate these idols and companies was a form of hate( which we all know isnt true). So for KQ to make this statement means the world to me and makes me a proud supporter of not only ateez but also KQ. Now on the topic of hongjoong I feel that he as shown on multiple occasions that's he respects and adores black culture and has even ask us to hold them accountable if they ever offend anyone( not just for blackAtiny but any atiny) . So it was very disheartening to hear that he was receiving death threats from some,idk who but I saw someone speak up about it on Instagram. So now it is time to speak up for our leader who has spoken up for us . To show him support to show all of ateez support ❤. Their are people out there that dont know that they apologized and dont know about the past things our leader has done for our community so let's tell them let's educate them. Please educate yourself on the matter ( cultural appropriation) so that you speak up too .
