Even More ATLAxSnK Crossover Headcanons

After waking up to drawings johannathemad did in response to my ask about an LoK/SnK crossover, I feel the need to revisit my headcanons for this crossover again. Uwaaa...

I did a couple a month or so ago, if people are interested: here and here.

Below the cut are just some of my thoughts about Bertholdt in this Crossover. Maybe I'll write about Jean and Marco when I get home.

Bertholdt I'm sorry, but if you peg Bertholdt as anything but a Waterbender, you and I are going to have some words. Because, kairisparda drew this fanart of Waterbender!Bertholdt for me and that means you're wrong.

But in all seriousness, first of all, Bertholdt does not have the temperament for a Firebender, if you ask me. Bertholdt is not assertive, he is not hot-headed, and while he does get angry, it's more of a passive-aggressive anger that only shows up when provoked. Of course, personality isn't the only thing that matters here.

Taking into account his official SnK stats, his significantly lower-than-average mobility stat makes the idea that he'd be swift enough for the Southern Shaolin-style moves required for Firebending kind of unbelievable. He also doesn't have the sturdy frame and movement characteristics of Earthbending either - strong, sturdy, and powerful.

But I think the biggest thing that pegs him is his Titan form. I mean, HELLO, the guy uses STEAM as a defense mechanism. How does that not scream WATERBENDER to you?

And maybe it's also because I've already pegged Annie as a Firebender and Reiner as an Earthbender that I can't see Bertholdt as anything but a Waterbender. (Pro-Bending Babies~~)

God, the more I think about it, the more amazing this crossover would be. Like, make some sort of a fusion between the original ATLA and LoK so Republic City is kind of like the insides of Wall Sina and stick it in the center of Ba Sing Se, which would represent the world of SnK. I mean, it's fucking perfect: Ba Sing Se even has two walls already (Outer and Inner). AND THE OUTER WALL WAS FUCKING BREACHED TO BOOT.

Just imagine it, the Ba Sing Se government brainwashing everyone to believe that the titans don't exist despite the fact there have been cities way out on the far edge of the outer walls who have been training soldiers to fight against the Titans with their skills and bending since forever.

I can't think of a way to work in shifters, though. Because shifters + bending powers = way OP.
